Biography Amy established the firm in 2008, and the practice focuses on trademark portfolio management for both domestic and international clients. She advises clients on all aspects of brand development, management, protection, and enforcement, and enjoys providing strategic advice. Amy has expertise in complex clearance and registrability opinions and manages all domestic and foreign trademark filings and prosecution. Amy has extensive experience in defending and protecting trademark rights in opposition and expungement proceedings, including preparing and negotiating complex settlement agreements and attending cross-examinations and oral hearings. Amy prepares and responds to demand letters and letters of cease-and-desist, and aids in negotiations with respect to trademark disputes.

Biography Ariadni Athanassiadis is a Canadian intellectual property lawyer who provides complementary services to Origins IP, in respect of business agreements and transactions, such as intellectual property licenses, joint ventures and technology development arrangements. Ariadni is the founder, lead attorney, and patent and trademark agent of Kyma Professional Corporation (www.kymalaw.com). She provides intellectual property legal information, education, advice and counselling to innovators and creative enterprises crossing many disciplines and industries.

Biography Aubrey is our Accounting Manager who brings his vast knowledge of 15+ years of experience, knowledge and skills to successfully manage Origins IP's complex billing system. Outside of work, Aubrey enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, walking the dog, and playing soccer.

Biography Darlene is our Senior Administrator at Origins IP. With being a patent and trademark assistant for over 20 years in the Intellectual Property industry, she brings many valuable skills to the table. Darlene manages the firm's docketing system to ensure deadlines are met. During the summer, she loves spending time in her garden, sitting outside with a good book and going for long walks in the morning. She also enjoys working on puzzles, colouring and cooking for friends.

Biography Rosie is the Director of Operations at Origins IP. Rosie brings to our firm a wealth of business development experience and introduces our trademark expertise to potential new clients with knowledge and professionalism. Rosie's research and public relations skills contribute to the continued growth of Origins IP, while at the same time help our existing clients protect their brands and valuable intellectual property. Her expertise in project management and customer service, from years of managerial experience and building customer relationships, keeps our day-to-day operations running efficiently. In addition, Rosie's talents with spreadsheets, accounts, and record maintenance help our various departments stay on target. Rosie and her husband enjoy spending time with family and friends at their cottage on the Gatineau River in Low, Quebec. It has been home to many for annual holiday celebrations, horseshoe tournaments, and corn roasts over the last 20 years.
