In a culture that puts so much emphasis on the reverence of elders and the oral history they are meant to pass down, we have been honored to film a 99 year-old Navajo medicine man to preserve his voice, language, and teachings for current and future generations. This is a collaborative project with Navajo elders, translators, and production team... Brenda Beck and Tom Wohlmut wanted to combine their skills and interests and realized that Tom's current films are all about getting to the heart or root of a story. And Brenda's interests are all about the roots of indigenous cultures and teachings.
