RPS GREEN TEAM

Our goal is to alter lesson plans to use less paper, while still being effective for the class. Currently being spearheaded by Sebastian Lovasco, the project is still in its "baby phase" but plans are being developed to work with more teachers throughout the school. We have seen how much paper the school uses, and intend to make changes on a scale that is both impactful and feasible... During the school year, we supply the cafeteria with fresh produce. Outside of the school year, these vegetables are sold at the Rockport Farmers' Market every Saturday from 9 to 1 in downtown Rockport. We 'grow local' to reduce the pollution created when food is shipped from long distances to our supermarkets. All food is grown, harvested, and sold by students at the schools using organic and sustainable methods...
