After his apprenticeship as bag maker and in production in various firms (i.e. in the suitcase workshop of MCM) he went to Tuscani in 1991 for an internship at the Gucci handbag factory for training. After opening his own workshop in Ulm, he was working at Goldpfeil, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Bree and Etienne Aigner. At the university for fashion design in Pforzheim, Germany, he was a tutor for traditional workmanship and pattern making for handbags... Through his long-term collaboration with overseas factories (Italy, China, Vietnam and India), he further developed - beside technical know how - intercultural competence and an extensive network. With most of the factories he has been working successfully together for more than 10 years.
