SOOGYEONG WOO

Soogyeong Woo is an experience designer, writer, and visual/interdisciplinary artist. Working at the borders between human and technology, technology and nature, and nature and human, she examines their organic relatedness and explores the possibility of their coexistence. She uses language and data to sense what could not be recognized before and uses various mediums and methods, conducting experiments and research, seeking ways to visualize what could not be seen before. Woo was a designer at Samsung Electronics' Design Team for ten years, defining and proposing new products, usability, and interactions using various platforms and technologies, including mobile phones, TV, augmented reality, flexible display and IoT. Currently, Woo is experimenting with ways of combining digital mediums and technologies with material objects and traditional mediums, pioneering the limits of expression and communication.
