Originally from Lake City, South Carolina, Tem learned early the small-town values of hard work and helping your neighbors. After graduating from Lake City High School, Tem attended The Citadel and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. He then went to work in management for a regional trucking company for three years before attending and graduating from law school... After Graduating from law school, Tem was admitted to the South Carolina Bar Association and licensed as an attorney in South Carolina in 2006. Tem began his legal career at the South Carolina Court of Appeals, where he served for two years as the Law Clerk to the Honorable Paul E. Short, Jr. reviewing cases on appeal.
