Zutari has such a rich legacy in Mozambique, spanning more than 30 years, having played a key role in several infrastructural projects throughout the whole country, that had a positive impact to the lives of many Mozambicans. Zutari prides itself for collaboratively shaping and delivering engineered solutions that are fit for purpose, technically sound and guided by unrivalled local knowledge, in the several key markets it operates. I have grown much since being welcomed by this team; a team that takes pride in our collaboration as a bigger family. I am proud and inspired to work with people who encourage and support - enabling each employee to build and shape their own journey.
Gustav Rohde serves as a Non-executive of the Zutari Board. In his career he has been an active scholar,
practicing engineer and businessman. Over the last 20 years he was the CEO of Africon, COO of Aurecon globally, CEO of Zutari and was also the Deputy CEO of Zutari, which is now the largest regional consultant with 2 000 employees. He is a Fellow of the South African Academy of Engineering, a registered professional engineer (ECSA) with a PhD from Texas A & M University in the USA. He currently serves on the Advisory boards of the Engineering Faculty at Stellenbosch, influencing the future pipeline of engineers. He has a passion for the digital transformation of our industry and the role of engineers in broader society.
Our chairperson, Dr Lulu Gwagwa, is a multifaceted woman: an accomplished development planner, academic, business leader, executive coach, and philanthropist dedicated to the growth of young women.
Dr Motsei is a seasoned non-executive Director, Academic, Leadership Consultant and Coach, as well as former Executive Director responsible for Human Resources and Transformation in a JSE listed financial services entity where she was management representative on the Social and Ethics Transformation Committee of the board.

Joseph Ndala is a Director of the Zutari Board and is also Zutari's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Gauteng Regional Head. As a financial individual in an engineering world, he has managed to establish himself as an astute manager and later executive, rising through the ranks at several local and foreign-owned engineering and construction firms.
I can strongly recommend Zutari to fellow young professionals who are passionate about Africa's future and growing their careers while delivering impact. Zutari's Tshwane office is a place where we don't just talk about a better continent - we truly make it happen.
Being exposed to a working environment with people from different backgrounds and cultures has moulded me into a more tolerant person because you realise and appreciate that it's not all about you! Ms Althea Discala is a non-executive Director of the Zutari Board. She has more than 20 years of business, commercial, finance, and investment experience, and is a strategically and operationally focused leader. As a seasoned Chartered Accountant (SA), she has extensive senior and executive corporate experience in financial services, banking, and investment institutions.
We are proud of the impact our Nairobi office has unlocked through its many infrastructure feats over multiple decades. These still stand proudly all across Kenya; a testimony to the enduring power of infrastructure to create the kind of change the world needs today.
Zutari's 30-year engineering legacy in Angola is a testament to technical prowess, deep local understanding, and commitment to sustainable partnerships. Our impactful projects embody our dedication to transformative engineering solutions, shaping Angola's infrastructure and fostering socio-economic progress.
has more than 38 years of experience in the roads and transport industry and is passionate about making a difference in the industry. In recent roles at Zutari (formerly Aurecon), he served on the Africa Exco and RSA Boards and was a member of the top 40 global leadership groups. Philip has also lectured extensively and is a Certified Director with the Institute of Directors of South Africa (IoDSA).
Teddy Daka, CEO of Zutari, is a global businessman and philanthropist. He was previously the Global Chairman of Zutari's legacy company, Aurecon's board from 2013 to 2019, and Group CEO of Etion Limited, a Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) listed digital technology solutions provider.
