Back in 2018 the only formally recognised accreditation for chimney sweeps was launched by CITB. This accreditation is the NVQ Qualification. The NCSSA were the first chimney sweeping association to fully encompass our industries only formally recognised accreditation and are, to this date, still the only non training Chimney Sweeping Association to do so. This fact is something we hear at the NCSSA are extremely proud of and we work continuously and tirelessly alongside our colleagues at Chimney Skills Training to promote and support it... The National Chimney Sweeping Safety Association is a Professional Trade Association formed in September 2017 by experienced professional Chimney Sweeps with the aim of taking the ancient art of chimney sweeping into the 21st century. NCSSA Members are Fully Trained and Highly Specialised Chimney Sweeps. They operate and adhere to the NCSSA stringent code of practice, working to the highest possible standards in their field.
