Cassidy Quimby, PA-C, started with the Alabama Center for Reproductive Medicine (ACRM) in March of 2020. She obtained her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. During her graduate courses, Cassidy had the opportunity to work with many hospitals and departments including the Department of OB/GYN at UAB Hospital. Cassidy was also part of the Lambda Nu and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Societies while in school. Prior to her completing her master's degree, Cassidy spent many years in healthcare as a Radiology technician.
At ACRM, Cassidy works closely with Dr. Long treating male and female infertility patients. Cassidy's skills also require her to help Dr. Long with surgical cases in Hospital operating rooms. Cassidy's fertility skills also include ultrasound scanning, Intrauterine Inseminations (IUI's), medication management, interpreting lab results, plus many other fertility related functions the office provides. In Cassidy's spare time she enjoys reading, painting with watercolors, spending time with family, running, and outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and mountain biking.

Cecily Metzler, CRNP has worked at ACRM as a Certified Register Nurse Practitioner since October 2021. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, as well as a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Women's Health. Prior to working at ACRM, Cecily worked as an RN in the Women's Operating Room at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center for four years. Cecily is passionate about working in infertility, and she works collaboratively with Dr. Long by seeing new and return patients, managing medicated treatment cycles, performing intrauterine inseminations, and getting patients started with IVF as well as caring for them during their cycles. Outside of work, Cecily enjoys traveling with her husband, Andrew, gardening, and reading.

Dr. Cecil Long is now seeing patients at ACRM of Alabama. He treats patients personally and is always available to see his patients directly. All of my interactions with him have been wonderful, and he treats his patinets with the utmost respect and care. Dr. Long's 25 years of experience contribute to his expertise in fertility care.

Gail "Beth" Hide, CRNP, started with the Alabama Center for Reproductive Medicine (ACRM) in April 2021. Beth holds both a Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has over 30 years experience in Reproductive Medicine and treating patients experiencing infertility in Alabama. She is also trained and certified as an Ultrasonographer with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. As an undergraduate student, she knew she wanted to be a nurse practitioner and has served in women's health her entire career.
At ACRM, Beth works collaboratively with Dr. Long treating male and female infertility patients. She helps the practice with both new and return patients for the practice. Her fertility skills also include enrolling patients for IVF cycles, ultrasound scanning, Intrauterine Inseminations (IUI's), medication management, interpreting lab results, plus many other fertility related functions the office provides. Beth considers it a privilege to assist couples in realizing their dreams of becoming parents. She also provides support in the not so happy times. In her spare time she enjoys physical activities such as walking, swimming, and gardening.
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Long. He is absolutely wonderful. We are forever grateful for our two precious miracles. Thank you Dr. Long!
Amazing staff and service! We drove 7 hours and they there so accommodating and eager to help with anything we needed! Karen, NP is the absolute best! She made us feel so confident about everything and listened to all of my questions and concerns so patiently! We would absolutely do it again and would recommend anyone to them for INVOcell! It was a great experience!
Dr. Long is absolutely the best, hands down!! We have seen him over the course of 4 years and have two beautiful children to show for it! I can't say enough about his new practice. ACRM, is a state of the art facility and so welcoming for patients. So thankful for Dr. Long and all that he has done for our family!
Jennifer is has served as the Financial Coordinator at ACRM since April 2018. She has 16 years of experience in the fertility field. Before working in the fertility field, she experienced infertility firsthand. Now, she and her husband of 17 years and have 4 boys! Getting to help other couples achieve their family goals is what she has loved most about her job throughout her career. Outside of work, she enjoys riding motorcycles with her husband, collecting houseplants, fishing with her family, and watching her boys play baseball.
They are all amazing! We did two rounds of A-IVF and now we have a beautiful baby girl. Karen is a angel! She was so supportive and caring due the whole process. You can truly tell she loves what she does.
Dr Long and his amazing staff are awesome! They are highly professional and actually take time with each patient! They truly care for each patient that walks through their doors and are committed to listening and taking great care of you! Highly recommend them to anyone!
Joseph B. Bolen, IV has more than 10 years of healthcare experience in physician practice management and hospital administration. He has a Master of Science degree in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. As our Chief Operating Officer at the Alabama Center for Reproductive Medicine (ACRM), Joseph is responsible for the daily management of the administrative operations for Dr. Long and the medical professionals at ACRM. He has also led a 6-month effort in upgrading technology, processes, and protocols in the IVF lab for better patient outcomes. He has great strengths in finance and has a goal-oriented approach to the administration of ACRM for near-term results while positioning a company for continued growth and long-term success.
I am using Dr. Long and I think he is wonderful. We are hopeful in our journey and we look forward to this new chapter
Best fertility clinic! After coming from another clinic this place was amazing. The staff truly care and listen to all of your concerns. Dr Long is amazing and Dr Hammond words can't describe. We've done 2 rounds of invocell with them and currently pregnant. Couldn't have made it this far without them!
Dr. Long and ACRM truely care about their patients. Their reproductive clinic shows kindness and empathy to patients in an unparalleled manner. Staff members quickly respond to questions and attend to each patient's individual needs.
Wonderful doctor. Helped me when my primary doctor couldn't. Immediately found the problem and corrected it.
Dr Long was able to diagnose the cause of my infertility, treat it with the required surgery, and perform 1 IUI to achieve pregnancy. The whole process was so quick but also done with such kindness and care. Once pregnancy was achieved he monitored it so closely and it felt like he cared as much as I did. I felt completely safe in his care. And his entire staff is wonderful! They knew my husband and I by name. Can't say enough good things!
After 8 years of infertility, including 7 miscarriages, 2 pre-term labors, failed inseminations and multiple failed IVF--traveling all over the country to see the "best" fertility specialists, we met Dr. Long. As I type this, I hear my twin daughters playing in the background, and I have tears in my eyes.

After years of seeing OB/GYN after OB/GYN and enduring surgeries and loss we finally sought the help of Dr Long and the Alabama Center for Reproductive Medicine...Dr Long is amazing! He is such a kind and compassionate person and will do whatever it takes for success, and will sit down and discuss at length any concerns you may have. I would recommend him to anyone trying to have a baby! We wasted over 5 years with Dr's telling us there was nothing wrong and he had it figured out in the first few visits! We are now expecting our miracle baby in January thanks to Dr Long!
I love Dr. Long! I left my previous RE and started seeing Dr. Long on 3/31/11 and I got my BFP on 4/25/11. He is so compassionate, yet aggressive with treatment. I would highly recommend.
Dr. Long and his entire team at ACRM are a special group of people. They truly care about each of their patients and make us all feel like we are the only ones in the practice. They care about us and their goal is to help make miracles happen - which they do every day. I previously went to another clinic in Birmingham and I have to say the patient experience is night and day in every way possible. From the front desk, to billing, to patient care - this group has been such a blessing.

After years of infertility, I met with Dr. Long and Dr. Hammond. That was 1/2. Had surgery 2/12. On 3/29 I found out we were pregnant. I gave birth on 11/10 to a healthy baby girl. I have ACRM to thank for that.
Dr. Long helped me and my husband get pregnant last year. He figured out exactly what was wrong with me and preformed my hysteroscopy and laparoscopy last April and we had our first and only IUI in May. We got pregnant on our first IUI. We used him at ART and continued to use art for the 12 weeks. Our whole experience was great and wish Dr. Long the best of luck!

Tracey Mendelsohn, CRNP, started with the Alabama Center for Reproductive Medicine (ACRM) in April 2022. Tracey holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Auburn University in Montgomery and a Master of Science in Nursing degree in Nursing from Troy University. Tracey has close to 20 years of Nurse Practitioner experience treating patients in Women's Health. However, over the last 8 years, she has been in Reproductive Medicine treating patients with infertility.
At ACRM, Tracey works collaboratively with Dr. Long treating male and female infertility patients. She is skilled in diagnostic testing and interpretation, ultrasonography, In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) cycle enrollment, Intrauterine Inseminations (IUI's), medication management, and many other fertility services. Tracey is currently accepting new and return patients at our Montgomery office.
Tracey Mendelsohn, CRNP, started with the Alabama Center for Reproductive Medicine (ACRM) in April 2022.
My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Long for several years now and have been working with Dr. Hammond since last fall. These two are incredible physicians who care deeply for their patients. With their help, we were able to get pregnant in November with Invocell/affordable IVF. Not only did they help us to conceive, they have held our hand each step of the way. Dr. Hammond has taken our calls after hours, even when she was on vacation, when my wife had complications with her pregnancy, and that meant so much to us! Of course they are brilliant and highly skilled at their job, but beyond that, infertility is a very personal matter. Having people who love and care for you the way that they have has made our journey so much easier. We have seen other doctors in the past, and I can't imagine any clinic in the Birmingham area being any greater than ACRM. From the staff, all the way to the top, ACRM exceeded our expectations of care and professionalism. Go see them!
I was a patient of Dr. Long at his former practice, and followed him when he opened ACRM. He is so sincere and personal with my husband and I. The best doctor hands down. He has also selected a great team of staff!
