Rachel Lakdawala is a speech-language pathologist specializing in pediatric services. As a child, Rachel was fortunate to work with an incredible speech-language pathologist who left a lasting, positive impact. Now, Rachel is passionate about helping other children improve their speech, language, and feeding skills in the same way. Rachel earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, a post-baccalaureate degree from Northwestern University, and a Master's degree from New York University. Rachel has extensive experience working with children to develop early language skills, expressive language, articulation, social communication (i.e., pragmatic language), feeding skills, and more. She has years of experience creating individualized goals and treatment, as well as incorporating neurodiversity-affirming practices for a wide range of learners, including autistic individuals. Most recently, Rachel earned a certification in Natural Language Acquisition and Gestalt Language Processing. She is also passionate about helping children access multi-modal communication with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Outside of Blossom Therapy, you can find Rachel spending time with her husband, newborn daughter, and dog. She loves to travel, and some of her favorite places include Italy, Croatia, and northern Michigan.
