My background as a speech-language pathologist has laid a strong foundation for my executive functioning coaching. The SLP graduate degree program has a strong emphasis on cognition, including the executive functions, as we are often the cognitive therapists within the rehabilitation world... As a speech-language pathologist, I worked in-patient rehab for many years and provided executive functioning therapy to those who had experienced conditions such as a stroke, brain injury, dementia, and Parkinson's disease... Since I've been in private practice, my focus has been on improving communication and executive functioning with adults who have not had a recent accident or injury but who are chronically busy and disorganized. I have provided coaching to adults who have ADHD, autism, executive functioning issues resulting from a concussion or long haul Covid, and no diagnosis at all.
