Brandie Smith

Joining our staff in 2013, Brandie brings with her several years of vet tech experience. Her expertise in dealing with our patients makes them feel secure during their time here. She graduated from the Vet Tech institute at Bradford School in 2008 with an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology. Brandie married her high school sweetheart in 2012 and together they have two beautiful little boys, Grant and Blake, as well as 2 furkids, their dogs Oreo and Que and their bunny Herbie. Camping and fishing are 2 of the pastimes that Brandie enjoys, but most of all, she loves spending time with her family.

Dr. DeWayne Weaver

Dr. Weaver has been practicing Veterinary Medicine for over 20 years and is the owner of both Green Camp Veterinary Clinic, LLC and Southgate Veterinary Clinic in Bellefontaine. He services both small and large animals. His small animal practice consists of medicine and surgery on dogs and cats. The large animal practice involves medicine and surgery of large and small ruminants as well as Dairy/Beef herd health and consulting. Growing up in a rural setting on a dairy farm near Kenton, Dr. Weaver developed a passion for all types of animals. This is what has drawn him back to the Green Camp are and his new venture in Bellefontaine. Dr. Weaver enjoys spending his time off with his wife Melissa, their six children and their many pets.

Dr. Melissa Forshey

Dr. Forshey began her journey toward Veterinary Medicine very early in life in her hometown of Willard, Ohio. She spent endless hours each spring nursing injured baby bunnies back to health. She continued on the path by earning her Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of Findlay and then proceeded to graduate from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Throughout veterinary school, Dr. Forshey stayed very active in The Food Animal Club and also was involved in Student Government at Ohio State. Dr. Forshey and her husband, Brandon stay busy with their beautiful baby girl born in September 2015 and their animal babies Aksel and Cordell (Dell). She also enjoys reading, baking and scrapbooking.

Hannah Hopper

Hannah developed a love for animals while growing up in a house of critters. She has continued to pursue this dream with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2015 from Urbana University and will be enrolling in additional classes to aid in her veterinary technology career. Although her passion is veterinary medicine, she is very creative and crafty. She enjoys sculpting miniature dollhouse and fairy garden accessories. In her spare time, she also enjoys visiting the oddities of Ohio with her husband Daniel. Together they have 2 fur babies, Olive and Dove.

Jennifer Imbody

Jenny returned to being employed at Green Camp Vet after a 20 year absence. She previously worked here with Dr. Tim Mason. During the interim, she was employed as a Dental Assistant. She's no stranger to hard work which is the perfect fit for her duties here at the clinic. She's a Jack of all Trades as she lends a hand in all departments. Jen's love for critters is apparent as her home is also the home to 13 hermit crabs, 3 turtles, 2 dogs and 4 cats. She and her husband of 27 years, Larry, are parents of a wonderful son, Ethan. She enjoys reading and creates jewelry in her off time.

Kalee Richmond

Kalee is one of our friendly and knowledgeable Vet Techs. She graduated from Columbus State Community College in 2007 but began her association with the clinic in 2003 while still in high school. Her energy and easy going personality makes her a natural with our four legged clients. Kalee and her husband have 2 delightful sons and a beautiful daughter. They are also ‘parents' to a host of dogs and cats. Kalee is an avid reader and also enjoys baking delicious meals and desserts for her family (and lucky coworkers) .

Mackenzie Ransome

Job Titles:
  • Veterinary Assistant
Originally from North Carolina, Mackenzie moved with her family to Prospect, Ohio when she was a very young child. She is currently enrolled at Columbus State to become a Veterinary Technician and is scheduled to graduate in 2019. Mackenzie's dog, Lizzie, along with her love of animals is what brought her to a position in our practice. Her hobbies include reading and watching movies.
