I work collaboratively with individuals, couples and families, as well as with professionals who may work alongside families and children to bring about change. My approach is systemic. It means that I see individuals as being connected to other people, to ideas and their environment - that we are continuously shaping our experiences through our relationships and interactions with other people and belief systems... In order for things to change, systemic therapists may work with any part of the system (which may include other significant people or aspects that influence the issue that needs addressing)... I originally qualified and worked as a Social Worker in South Africa, before I moved to England where I trained to become a Family Therapist. I have over 25 years' experience working in Local Authority, charities and in the NHS supporting families, couples and individuals in developing more meaningful, emotionally attuned and responsive relationships.
