The research area is practice-oriented. The projects are carried out in close cooperation with small and large companies; we often work for our customers as their external research and development department. Our specialists cover a wide range of subjects; topics concerning several areas are dealt with in an interdisciplinary manner. HFA is also a member of the association of cooperative research institutes of the Austrian economy - Austrian Cooperative Research (ACR). In the area of conformity assessment (testing, inspection and certification), we are accredited by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Labour and Economy for all relevant procedures...
