HOW NHS PROJECT

The HOW NHS Project (run by Dr Jermaine Ravalier, Bath Spa University) is an ESRC-funded study which aims to design, implement, and evaluate a series of wellbeing initiatives for staff within three large NHS trusts. The project began in August 2017, and is due for completion in late 2019/early 2020 (in time for REF 2021!). The aim is that by improving working conditions and coping strategies for NHS employees we should be able to reduce sickness absence, improve performance, and ultimately improve the service provide to patients.
