ILEANA MORENO

Ileana Moreno, Mexican visual artist with studies in fashion design. Her work focuses on the exploration of clothing as a field of study, through this, it is possible to approach a personal need of a reconfiguration of the body, based on the idea of the garment as a second skin and detaching it from its most basic purpose which is to be dressed. In this way her work addresses the condition of the female body today, as well as the future of an industry that is so close to us. Therefore, the artist's relationship with the material comes from the need for constant skin change, in an universe surrounded by plastics, industrial materials and cultural tendencies that as a whole transgresses and alters our human condition.
