Andy S. Goldwasser

Andy Goldwasser is a skilled trial lawyer. Andy's track to becoming a lawyer started more than twenty years ago when he began working as a claims adjuster. In the early years, Andy was on call to investigate accidents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In 1994, Andy enrolled at Cleveland Marshall College of Law as a night student. While attending law school, he continued to adjust claims for a large insurance defense firm and then joined a high-end personal injury firm. He graduated from a four year night school program in three years. After law school, Andy worked as an associate attorney before co-founding Ciano & Goldwasser in 2000. Andy is not only a partner of Ciano & Goldwasser, he is also the managing partner of Rumizen Weisman Co., Ltd. Andy's law practice focuses on complex civil litigation matters with an emphasis on serious injury and wrongful death claims. At the same time, Andy is routinely handling a spectrum of specialty torts, including claims involving financial irregularities, business disputes, professional negligence and employment-related matters. Andy has represented clients in virtually every forum including State Court, Federal Court, FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority), AAA (American Arbitration Association) and private binding arbitration. Andy is also actively involved in a number of professional organizations. Andy is a former Board member and Chair of the Business Torts section of the Ohio Association of Justice. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which is recognized as one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. He has been selected by his peers as a "Top 50" lawyer in Cleveland and "Top 100" lawyer in Ohio by Super Lawyers, a Thompson Reuters company. he has also been recognized by his peers as a "Best Lawyer." On the charitable front, Andy is President of the No Pain No Gain Foundation. The No Pain No Gain Foundation is a public charity providing support to children afflicted by cancer. The Foundation's mission is to provide hope in the face of adversity, courage in the face of fear, and charity in support of children with cancer.

Phillip A. Ciano

Phillip Ciano's practice is devoted to corporate and complex transactional and litigation matters. Additionally, Phil maintains a robust sports law practice with an emphasis on the representation of certified player agents in baseball, basketball, football and golf. Within this arena, Mr. Ciano represents a variety of executives and shareholders, corporations, physicians and physician practice groups in commercial and employment-related transactions and litigation. Mr. Ciano's practice is primarily focused on business/sports-related disputes, including enforcement and defense of non-compete agreements, business "divorces," partner/shareholder disputes and transactional matters. Phil Ciano began his career in international business as a trader for Harmony International, Inc. After completing a post-graduate sabbatical with Tufts University's Fletcher School of International Law and Diplomacy, Mr. Ciano graduated cum laude from the John Marshall Law School of Chicago. His unique background and experience have evolved into a national practice in which he has successfully represented individuals and entities across the country.
