Partners for Strings Virgin Islands Youth Orchestra is being run by Partners for Strings, Inc. (PFS), a 501(c)(3) organization that was established in 2020 to operate a FREE after-school music program for children, ages 6 to 17 on the islands of St. Thomas and St. Croix. The program uses music as a vehicle to transform lives. Our mission is to reach the at-risk and underserved youth in our community... Nine St. Croix young students made a commitment to learn how to play the violin during a free seven-week summer music workshop organized by Partners for Strings, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non profit organization based in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The launching of the St. Croix Summer Music Workshop became the first step in expanding the Partners for Strings Virgin Islands Youth Orchestra on the Big Island.
