Abla Bellakhdar joined Comgest in 2014 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Global Emerging Markets equities, notably the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) as well as Latin America.
Abla co-leads the GEM ex-China and Latin America strategies, and contributes widely to the investment team's research coverage for a diverse selection of quality growth stocks. Prior to joining the firm, Abla undertook internships at Comgest, a financial institution in Morocco (CDG) and Euro Latina Finance in Paris, a specialist in Latin America cross-border mergers and acquisitions.
She studied at the Monterrey Institute of Technology in Mexico before graduating from the NEOMA Business School in France where she majored in Corporate Finance and wrote a thesis on integrating risk into company valuation processes.
Adam Hakkou joined Comgest in 2012 and is a Singapore-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Asia Pacific ex Japan equities.
Adam co-leads the Asia ex Japan, Asia Pac ex Japan strategies. He contributes widely to the Asian team's research coverage, identifying quality growth investment opportunities across diverse sectors and geographies.
Adam graduated from the NEOMA Business School in France with a Master's degree in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management and obtained an Advanced Master's in Finance and Asset Management from the ESSEC Business School in Paris where he was an active member of the school's investment fund. Adam is a CFA® charterholder.
Alexandre Narboni joined Comgest in 2009 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Global equities. He is also a member of the Comgest Group's Investment Committee.
Alexandre is also responsible for developing and supervising Comgest's Flex strategies, the firm's first investment strategies to employ hedging techniques with the objective of reducing volatility and drawdowns. He previously worked in the Group's US equity team. Before joining Comgest, he worked in New York in asset-backed securities at Société Générale from 2005-2007 and then as a hedge fund credit Analyst at HSBC.
Alexandre graduated from the National School of Statistics and Economic Administration (ENSAE) in Paris and Columbia University in New York where he was awarded a Master's degree in Financial Mathematics.
Alicia Zhang joined Comgest in 2022 and is an Analyst specialising in US equities.
Prior to joining Comgest, Alicia was based in Hong Kong for seven years at SAFE Investment Company, the Chinese sovereign wealth fund, where she first worked as a Research Analyst in the US health care sector before becoming a Sector Portfolio Manager in 2018. Alicia was previously a Research Analyst at Spring Capital in Shanghai, focused on US growth stocks and directly supporting the Portfolio Manager/Co-founder's investment decisions for the company's US portfolio.
Alicia holds a Bachelor's degree in Insurance (Actuarial Science) from the Faculty of Economics and Management School of Statistics at East China Normal University.
Alistair Wittet joined Comgest in 2012 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in European equities. He is also a member of the Comgest Group's Investment Committee.
Alistair co-leads Comgest's Pan Europe and Europe ex UK strategies. He started his career in 2006 as an Analyst at Standard Life Investments in Edinburgh. He went on to join Citigroup's London office in 2009, specialising in the pan-European food retail sector as an Equity Analyst.

Anne-Laure Giraud joined Comgest in 2019 as an Analyst specialising in Global Emerging Markets equities.
Anne-Laure contributes to idea generation, researching quality-growth companies in EMEA and Latin America. Prior to joining the firm, Anne-Laure completed internships at Amundi Asset Management and Comgest.

Arnaud Cosserat joined Comgest in 1996 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in European equities. He is the former Chief Executive Officer of the Comgest Group.
Arnaud started his career in 1989 as an Analyst at Banque Paribas, before joining Société de Bourse Oddo and then Generali as a Portfolio Manager.
Arnaud is a Board Member of The Comgest Foundation. He holds a Master of Science degree from the ESSEC business school (France) and is a member of the French Society of Financial Analysts (SFAF, Société Française des Analystes Financiers).
Baijing Yu joined Comgest in 2011 and is a Hong Kong-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Greater China equities.
Baijing was named co-lead of the China strategy in 2014. A native Mandarin speaker, she started her career in 2007 as an investment banking Analyst of the TMT sector at the Royal Bank of Scotland in New York and then Hong Kong, where she covered global private equity firms in the Asia Pacific region. In 2010 she joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a senior Analyst, then Associate, covering the Asia TMT sector.

Bertrand Waquet joined Comgest in 2014 and is Global Head of Operations & Systems for the Comgest Group as well as a member of the Group's Executive and Sustainability Committees.
Bertrand works with the operational teams across Comgest's entities in addition to overseeing project management, IT, data management, fund performance and Middle Office. He began his career in 2003 as a Project Manager with BNP Paribas Asset Management, where he was in charge of global projects including portfolio referential implementation and setting up a BCP across its international locations. In 2008, he joined Mazars where he became a Senior Manager in charge of their asset management consulting practice.
Bertrand holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Law and two Master's degrees in "HR Management & Company Strategy and Administration" and "Corporate Management" from the Université de Tours (France). He has a Green Belt 6 Sigma certification and Black Belt training.
Bhuvnesh Singh joined Comgest in 2016 and is a Singapore-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Asian equities, including Indian equities.
Bhuvnesh co-leads the Asia ex Japan, Asia Pac ex Japan and India strategies. He visits company premises, compiles in-depth research reports and contributes to Comgest's India, Asia, Emerging Markets and Global strategies. In 1999, Bhuvnesh started his career working at Credit Suisse where he was an Asia equity Analyst. He went on to join Barclays in 2011 as Head of India Research, co-managing the Indian equity business.

Camille Pons joined Comgest in 2012 and is Global Head of Human Resources for the Comgest Group as well as a member of the Group's Executive Committee.
Camille is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategy alongside Comgest's executive management and ensuring the continuity and success of Comgest's culture across the Group's international entities. She began her career at Dexia BIL in Luxembourg as HR Business Partner and was later appointed Head of HR at their French subsidiary, RBC Dexia Investors Services, in Paris.
Camille holds a Master's degree in International Human Resources Management from the Ecole Supérieure de Management d'Angers (France).
Caroline Maes joined Comgest in 2012 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Global Emerging Markets and Asian equities.
Caroline began her career with Comgest in Singapore and is now based in Paris where, in addition to her portfolio manager duties, she is also the GEM Business Manager. With over 10 years of investment experience, she began her career in 2003 as a Research Associate at Alliance Bernstein in New York before moving to the IPO department of UOB Kay Hian in Singapore in 2006. Caroline then joined CLSA in Singapore where she held the role of equity research Analyst for more than five years and won the Business Times - Starmine award for her stock recommendations.
She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Economics and International Relations from Tufts University in the USA.
Chantana Ward joined Comgest in 1999 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Japanese equities. She is also a non-executive member of the Board of Partners.
Chantana co-leads portfolios within Comgest's Asia ex Japan, Asia including Japan and Japanese equity strategies, and has been an important contributor to the development of these strategies. Based in Paris, she travels regularly to Japan to research companies and spend time with the Tokyo-based team members.
Chantana holds an MSc in Finance from Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business in New York, a dual diploma with The American University of Paris.
Christophe Nagy joined Comgest in 2009 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in US equities. He is also a member of the Comgest Group's Investment Committee.
Christophe co-leads Comgest's US equity strategy and has played an instrumental role in building the US equity team and guiding their research activities. Before joining Comgest, he worked at Mercer Consulting from 1991, at Carmignac Gestion from 1998 where he managed global growth portfolios, and then from 2002 as a Senior Portfolio Manager at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management.
Christophe holds a Master's degree in Engineering from Ecole des Mines in St-Etienne in France and received an MBA from the INSEAD graduate business school near Paris in 1991.
Connor Middleton joined Comgest in 2023 and is an Analyst specialising in European equities.
Connor contributes widely to the investment team's research coverage for a diverse selection of pan-European quality growth stocks. Prior to joining Comgest, he worked as a Global Research Analyst at Newton Investment Management for two years, focusing primarily on the technology, media, and telecom sectors. He started his career as an Analyst at J.P. Morgan in 2018.

Franz Weis joined Comgest in 2005 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in European equities. In addition to being the Group's Chief Investment Officer (CIO), he is Managing Director of Comgest Global Investors as well as a member of the Group's Board of Partners and Executive Committee.
Franz leads the firm's European research efforts and co-leads the management of the majority of Comgest's European equity strategies. In his role as CIO, Franz oversees the firm's investment teams and chairs the Investment Committee, which is responsible for applying Comgest's philosophy on successful long-term investing. He started his career in 1990 at Baillie Gifford & Co. where he worked as a Portfolio Manager before joining F&C Asset Management as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Director of European Equities in 1996.
Franz graduated from Heriot-Watt University (Scotland) with a Master's degree in International Banking and Financial Studies and received the International Bankers in Scotland Prize in 1990.
Frédéric Yoboué joined Comgest in 2021 and is an Analyst specialising in Global equities.
Frédéric previously worked as a Research Equity Analyst focused on European semiconductor companies at Bryan, Garnier & Co. in Paris for three years. Prior to that, he held internship positions as a Buy-Side Equity Analyst for companies including Comgest, LFPI AM and Amundi in Paris.

Gary co-leads management of Comgest's Asia Pacific ex Japan strategy and contributes his broad experience spanning over 15 years in the Asia-Pacific region, covering multiple sectors and business models. An Australian national, Gary began his career with Deloitte in 1999 before moving to the internal M&A / strategy team of Telstra in 2001. Two years later he joined Macquarie as a Telecoms Analyst covering the Asia region, including Australia. He moved to Macquarie's Hong Kong office in 2007 to cover multiple sectors, finally becoming Regional Head of Consumer and Gaming Research.
Gary graduated from the University of New South Wales in Sydney with a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia).

Ian Lewis joined Comgest in 2021 and is Head of Investor Relations, responsible for our client relationships globally. He is also a member of the Group's Executive Committee and the Sustainability Committee.
Ian Lewis has over 30 years' experience in the industry, starting his career as an investment consultant before working for a number of investment firms in client relationship and distribution roles. He joined Comgest from Nikko Asset Management where he was the Global Head of Investment Proposition and Consultant Relations. Before this, he worked for a number of UK-based asset managers in a variety of senior management distribution roles, including Mercury Asset Management (now Blackrock), UBS Global Asset Management and also smaller boutique firms.
James Hanford joined Comgest in 2018 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in European equities.
James contributes widely to the investment team's research coverage for a diverse selection of pan-European quality growth stocks. He started his career in 2011 as an Analyst at Credit Suisse and prior to joining Comgest spent four years as a global generalist at Capital Group.

Jan-Peter Dolff joined Comgest in 1997 and is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Comgest Group. He is a member of the Group's Board of Partners, Executive Committee (Chair) and Sustainability Committee.
Upon joining Comgest, Jan-Peter held fund management responsibilities for the European and US equity strategies for eight years. Following this experience, he founded Comgest Deutschland in 2006, which he managed until returning to Paris in 2011. Jan-Peter then held the role of Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Comgest Group.

Janice Olyarchuk joined Comgest in 2007 and is Global Head of Compliance, Legal & Risk for the Comgest Group as well as a member of the Group's Executive and Sustainability Committees.
Janice was Managing Director of Comgest Asset Management International Ltd. in Dublin before relocating to Paris for her present role in 2012. Prior to joining Comgest, she was Head of Legal and Associate Director at Bank of Ireland Global Markets in Dublin. Janice also worked as an attorney with Muchnick, Golieb & Golieb in New York City; as a business and legal analyst with BankBoston in Boston; with early technology start-ups; and with the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
Janice holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina. She is a member of the Bars of New York and Massachusetts.

Jasmine co-manages Comgest's China strategy. Before joining Comgest, she worked at China Everbright Asset Management as Investment Director responsible for China onshore and offshore equity research and investment. Jean-François Canton acts as a non-executive member of the Board of Partners, is one of the two co-founders of Comgest and remained the CEO until his retirement in 2010.
With a strong background in Asian investments, Jean-François launched Comgest's first Asian equity strategy in 1989, before developing the Global Equity strategy in 1991. Prior to Comgest, he started his career managing foreign equity investments at the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations in Paris and then joined Banque Indosuez as a senior fund manager, investing in the Pacific Basin markets.

Juliette started her career in 2005 at Credit Agricole CIB's representative office in Mexico before joining the company's Latin America team in New York in 2007 where she worked as a Credit Analyst. In 2009 she transferred to Crédit Agricole CIB's Paris office.

Junzaburo Hyuga joined Comgest in 2018 and is a Tokyo-based Analyst and specialising in Japanese equities.
Junzaburo contributes to idea generation and researching Japanese companies within diverse sectors. He started his career in 2010 at Rakuten Securities before moving to JP Morgan Chase in Tokyo where he worked within the transaction banking division. Before joining Comgest Junzaburo was a strategy consultant at Strategy& (formerly Booz & Co.), covering various industries in Japan.

Kory Sorenson has 30 years of experience in financial services, most of which has been focused on insurance and banking.
She was Managing Director, Head of Insurance Capital Markets of Barclays Capital and also held senior positions in the insurance capital markets and debt capital markets divisions of Credit Suisse, Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley. She began her career in the treasury department of Total SA in Paris. Kory is currently a non-executive director of Pernod Ricard SA and SCOR SE in France, The Phoenix Group in the UK, SGS in Switzerland and Bank Gutmann in Austria.
Kory Sorenson, a British citizen, was born in the US. Laurent Dobler joined Comgest in 1991 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in European equities as well as Deputy Managing Director of Comgest S.A.
As Comgest's longest serving investment team member, Laurent is a lead Portfolio Manager within the European equity team and has been instrumental in forging and refining Comgest's quality growth investment philosophy. He started his career in Geneva in 1986 with Banque Paribas as an Analyst and Portfolio Manager of a German equity fund before he joined the Geneva fund management team of Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild where he specialised in European and Japanese equities.
With a degree in Economics from the Sorbonne University and a Master's degree in Law from University Paris II, Laurent also studied at Sciences Po - Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (France), where he majored in Finance and Fiscal Policy.

Lavinia Borcia joined Comgest in 2014 and is Global Head of Finance for the Comgest Group as well as a member of the Group's Executive Committee.
Lavinia works with the finance teams across Comgest's entities, oversees the consolidated financial reporting of the Group and its transfer pricing policy. She supervises the Group's dividend distribution and cash management, and assists in facilitating access to the shareholder structure. She began her career in 2006 as a Financial Auditor at Mazars, covering the asset management sector. Lavinia moved to AXA Investment Managers in 2011 where she was CFO of the Group's structured finance division.
Lavinia holds a Master's degree in Accounting, Auditing and Control from the Paris-Sorbonne University (France) and is a Chartered Accountant.

Lisa Bruot joined Comgest in 1999 and is Head of Investor Services as well as a non-executive member of the Board of Partners.
Lisa manages the Investor Services team, which consists of separate Client Reporting and RFP teams. Since she joined, Lisa has been responsible for the development of Comgest's Investor Services team, which previously encompassed Comgest's marketing, investment communications and press relations activities in addition to providing support to Investor Relations across Comgest's global offices. Lisa is also a former member of Comgest's Capital and Compensation Committee (CCC) Working Group.
Lisa holds a Bachelor's degree in French from the University of Reading (United Kingdom).
Louis Citroën joined Comgest in 2019 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in US equities.
Louis co-leads the management of the US Equity strategy and contributes strongly to idea generation, researching US companies across a broad range of sectors. Prior to joining Comgest, he was an Equity Analyst covering telecoms and media stocks at Arete Research in London for five years. Louis previously worked from 2011 as a Small Cap Equity Analyst at Financière de l'Echiquier and began his career in 2009 as a management consultant at Oliver Wyman in Paris.

Léo Lenel joined Comgest in 2019 and is a Quantitative Analyst and Portfolio Manager.
Léo previously worked in quantitative research before becoming a risk manager and quantitative analyst for Pictet Asset Management in Geneva. His focus is on quantitative investment strategies, and particularly, the link between fundamental and quantitative management.
Léo graduated from the Ecole Centrale de Nantes and holds a Master's degree in Financial Engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.
Makoto Egami joined Comgest in 2013 and is a Tokyo-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Japanese equities.
He started his career in 2001 at JP Morgan Chase in Tokyo as a credit Analyst and went on to work for US-based Taiyo Pacific Partners as an investment professional before moving on to Macquarie as a Japanese small-mid cap Analyst. Makoto also held the position of senior industry Analyst at Google Japan.
He graduated from Keio University with a BA in Economics and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (USA), as well as the CMA from the Securities Analysts Association of Japan.

Marie-Pierre de Bailliencourt specialises in Executive Management for industrial, institutional and geopolitical domains within international or complex environments. She is currently a lecturer at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) on negotiations and decision-making processes.
Marie-Pierre is the former deputy CEO of Naval Group, an industrial defence contractor focused on naval design, manufacturing and maintenance, as well as a former Senior Vice President at Bull, an information technology and services company. She previously held senior positions at Dassault Systèmes, McKinsey, Rexel and began her career as sherpa of two Secretary Generals of the United Nations, Boutros Boutros Ghali and Kofi Annan.
Marie-Pierre holds a doctoral degree in Political Science & International Affairs from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS; USA) and a PhD summa cum laude in Geopolitics, from the Paris-Sorbonne University (France).

Monique Jozeau joined Comgest in 2016 and is Group Corporate Secretary as well as a member of the Group's Executive and Sustainability Committees.
As Group Corporate Secretary for Comgest S.A. and Comgest Global Investors in Paris, she is also responsible for Comgest Shareholder Services and advising the Board of Partners. Monique started her career in 2002 as a Certified Business Attorney in Brazil, working for a state judge and state attorney. Relocating to France in 2008, she joined the legal department of BNP Paribas in 2009. Monique joined TAIB Securities in the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2011, working first as Head of Legal and Compliance and then as General Counsel and Company Secretary of TAIB Bank Group.
Monique holds Master's degrees in International Business Law, Common Law and Comparative Law from University of Paris V (France), as well as Brazilian Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (Brazil). She is a Bar-qualified attorney in Brazil.
Mum Taggu joined Comgest in 2023 and is an Analyst specialising in Indian equities.
Mum contributes widely to the investment team's research coverage for a diverse selection of Indian quality growth stocks. Prior to joining Comgest, she worked at Rothchilds in Mumbai as an investment banking analyst, focusing primarily on the industrials, auto and telecom sector. She started her career as a research analyst at Credit Suisse in 2021 where she covered the Indian auto industry.
Mum holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM - A) in India.
Nicholas Morse joined Comgest in 2016 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Global Emerging Markets equities.
Nicholas co-leads the GEM strategy as well as a number of Global Emerging Markets segregated mandates. With 30 years of investment experience, principally in Global Emerging Markets, Nicholas contributes widely to the team's research coverage for a diverse selection of quality growth stocks across multiple sectors. Nicholas began his career in London where he held investment positions at Foreign & Colonial Management and Singer & Friedlander Investment Management Ltd before joining Grupo Financiero Banamex Accival (BANACCI) where he managed the firm's Latin American Research Division in both Mexico City and New York. In 1994 he returned to the UK, joining Martin Currie where he was Head of Latin American Equities and co- Head of Global Emerging Markets. After spending over six years managing Mercury Asset Management / Merrill Lynch's Latin American equity investments and as joint head of Emerging Markets, Nicholas spent ten years at Schroders Investment Management where he was Head of Latin America Equities.
A British national, Nicholas graduated from the University of Exeter with a Bachelor's degree (Honours) in Economic and Social History. He is a member of the Gainsborough House Finance Committee.

Petra Daroczi joined Comgest in 2021 and is an ESG Analyst and Portfolio Manager responsible for ESG coverage of the US and Europe.
She meets and engages with company management alongside the firm's investment Analysts and prepares in-depth ESG reports. Prior to Comgest, Petra joined Aberdeen Standard Investments in 2019 as an ESG Investment Analyst, responsible for integrating ESG assessment in fixed income research and leading the engagements in the APAC region. She previously worked for Thomson Reuters in their Singapore office as an Account Director and ESG Ambassador, and before that held diverse roles such as Field Sales Associate, Consultant and ESG & Asset Management Specialist in their London office.
Petra graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies from Cass Business School (UK) and a Master's degree in European Business from the ESCP Business School (France). Philippe Lebeau joined Comgest in 2009 and is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Comgest S.A., as well as a member of the Comgest Group's Executive Committee.
Philippe sits on a number of Group governance bodies and contributes to strategic projects. He previously held the position of Global Head of Marketing & Investor Relations from 2009-2021. He began his career at the chartered surveyor Insignia Bourdais (now CBRE), providing real estate advisory services to French institutional investors, before moving to Banque du Louvre where he held various asset management advisory and marketing roles. He was later appointed Managing Director of LGI, the Luxembourg subsidiary of HSBC Private Bank France, where he was Head of Business Development and Multi-management activities. Philippe held the position of CEO of Louvre Gestion (now HSBC Private Wealth Managers) before joining Comgest.
Philippe graduated from the HEC School of Management and Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (France).
Pierre Lamelin joined Comgest in 2012 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in European equities. He is also a member of the Comgest Group's Sustainability Committee.
He co-leads the management of several Pan European strategies and contributes widely to the European team's research coverage for a diverse selection of quality growth stocks across multiple sectors. Pierre started his career in 2004 as an Equity Analyst at Crédit Agricole Cheuvreux where he spent seven years covering the European luxury goods and cosmetics sectors.
He holds a Master's degree in Finance from Sciences Po (Institut d'Etudes Politiques) in Paris and is a CIIA holder (Certified International Investment Analyst).
Pierre Maindron joined Comgest in 2014 and is an Analyst specialising in Global Emerging Markets equities, notably Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EEMEA).
Pierre initially joined Comgest as part of the group's Organisation and Project department before moving to his current role in 2018. He started his career as an auditor with clients across diverse industries ranging from retail to insurance companies before becoming a consultant specialised in financial services, working for both Société Générale and Crédit Agricole.
Pierre is a CFA® charterholder and graduated from Arts et Métiers ParisTech in France with a Master's degree in Engineering.
Richard Kaye joined Comgest in 2009 and is a Tokyo-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Japanese equities. He is also a member of the Comgest Group's Investment Committee.
With a wealth of experience in Japanese equities, Richard became co-lead of Comgest's Japan equity strategy upon joining the Group. He started his career in 1994 as an Analyst with the Industrial Bank of Japan and then joined Merrill Lynch in the same role in 1996. In 2005 he moved to the Wellington Management Company in Boston as a Portfolio Manager of Japanese TMT stocks.
Richard graduated from Oxford University where he majored in Oriental Studies.
Richard Mercado joined Comgest in 2019 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Global equities.
Before joining Comgest, Rick worked in London as a Portfolio Manager responsible for a North American equities fund with USS Investment Management and prior to that, as a Global Equities Portfolio Manager with F&C Investments. From 2001-2008 he worked in Australia, with Capital Partners as an Investment Analyst and with AMP Capital Investors as an Investment Strategist.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of New South Wales. He is also a CFA® charterholder.
Richard O'Toole joined Comgest in 2011 and is a Human Resources Manager for CAMIL and the Comgest Group, as well as a non-executive member of the Board of Partners.
Prior to moving to HR, Richard was CAMIL's Internal Control and Monitoring Officer, a role he performed for around 10 years. He is also a member of CAMIL's Executive Management Team. Before joining Comgest, Richard worked in KBC Bank Ireland and prior to this worked in several different roles at Allied Irish Bank ("AIB") in Dublin.

Slabbert van Zyl joined Comgest in 2014 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Global Emerging Markets equities.
He co-leads the GEM and GEM ex-China strategies, and also co-manages several Global Emerging Markets segregated mandates. Prior to joining Comgest, Slabbert qualified as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and gained six years' experience as a South African Investment Analyst in Cape Town.
Slabbert graduated from the University of Pretoria with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting before gaining a post-graduate qualification in the same field from the University of Johannesburg. He is a CFA® charterholder.
Swati Madhabushi joined Comgest in 2019 and is a Singapore-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Indian equities.
Prior to joining Comgest, she worked with East Capital in Hong Kong for five years focusing on India, ASEAN and frontier Asia markets. She previously worked on the sell-side with UBS covering Indian financials.

Prior to joining Comgest, he worked at Oddo Securities as a Technology Analyst before transitioning to the role of Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI) Analyst which he held for five years. Sébastien previously worked as a Portfolio Manager at BFT Gestion (Crédit Agricole) and began his career as a buy-side Analyst at Deutsche Bank in 1998.

Vincent Strauss acts as the Chairman and a non-executive member of the Board of Partners and was formerly the CEO and CIO of the Comgest Group, retiring in 2016.
Vincent launched Comgest's Global Emerging Markets strategy in 1994 and was one of the lead portfolio managers for over 20 years. Prior to Comgest, he was a Director at Batif and then Multifinance International. He started his career at Crédit Commercial de France and joined Banque Indosuez (Paris) in 1982 where he became lead portfolio manager of the bank's Asian equities portfolios.
Vincent graduated from the HEC School of Management (Switzerland) and completed a PhD in Economics at Université Paris 2 Pantheon-Assas (France).
Viva Jiang joined Comgest in 2022 and is an ESG Analyst responsible for ESG coverage of Asian and Global Emerging Markets.

Xing co-leads the management of the GEM Plus equity strategy. She meets and engages with company management alongside members of Comgest's investment team and prepares in-depth ESG reports. Xing was an intern at Comgest prior to joining the firm. She has also undertaken internships in China at Fosun Group, working on strategic investment deals in the technology and financial sectors, and at GF Securities, a leading financial services company in China, within their equity research department.
Xing is fluent in Mandarin, holds Master's degrees in Management and Financial Markets from EDHEC Business School (France) as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in International Economics and Trade from the University of Nottingham (UK & China).

He also coordinates the firm's voting policy and leads Comgest's participation in national and international responsible investment initiatives. Prior to joining Comgest, Yann worked as an Analyst and Portfolio Manager for several asset and wealth management firms in Luxembourg, Paris and Geneva before joining Novethic, the French research centre for Socially Responsible Investment (SRI).

Zak Smerczak joined Comgest in 2016 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Global equities. He is also a member of the Comgest Group's Investment Committee.
Zak started his career in 2006 at Deloitte in London, initially in Assurance & Advisory Services before moving to Transaction Services where he was responsible for operational and financial due diligence. In 2011, Zak joined Mirabaud Asset Management where he worked as an Analyst covering global equities. In 2015, he moved to Polar Capital Holdings where he held the position of Analyst / Portfolio Manager for the firm's global multi-asset income strategy.
