Adrian Bullock - CTO, Founder

Adrian is an experienced Chief Technology Officer with 30 years experience in designing, developing and supporting enterprise systems in Utilities, Finance and Telecoms. Adrian has worked for EON, AT&T, AXA as well as for his own company, Contigo. Adrian was a co-founder and CTO/CEO of Contigo, a supplier of Energy Trading systems for the European Power and Gas Trading market. Contigo was subsequently acquired by Trayport in 2013. Contigo delivered projects for many large and small utilities and commodity traders such as SSE, RWE, EON, Ovo and Intergen. Adrian has deep knowledge and experience in building enterprise level systems with the latest technology and tools and implementing cloud based platforms, particularly using Microsoft technology. Having recently left Contigo, Adrian is now an independent consultant and advisor on Product and Technology strategy particularly in the Utilities and Commodities spaces.

Alfonso Puga

Alfonso has been involved in different roles related to the LNG business for the last 23 years. He covered positions from trading, origination and business development among others. His experience in different risk profile companies gives him a great perspective on the needs of the market and how to manage the next wave for the LNG industry. His exposure to different businesses in different countries has given him a great view on managing cultural differences and challenges. The last roles for Alfonso have been in the business development side, helping on the marketing and commercial developments for NextDecade, a developer of LNG liquefaction in USA. Previous to that, Alfonso has taken different responsibilities in the LNG and gas commodity roles in companies like Petrochina, Goldman Sachs, Essent Trading and Gas Natural Fenosa. Currently, Alfonso is also involved in different initiatives as strategy advisor and developer for new ventures in the LNG bunkering space as well as research and academics in the strategic studies and geopolitics fields.

Dr Tony West

Tony has over 30 years first hand experience of trading and risk management in the commodity markets, primarily energy. He has a BSc (Hons) and PhD from Imperial College, London. Tony has worked across the energy sector, and in many countries, within a variety of institutions: including an oil major, a large gas producer, top tier investment banks, utilities and hedge funds. Tony also provides consulting and expert witness services on energy trading, procurement and risk strategy. Tony has created, developed, run and ‘turned around' energy/commodity trading and marketing businesses and has concluded large and complex commodity and commodity finance arrangements. He is well versed in the practicalities of volatility and risk management within developing, de-regulating and established markets, as well as maximising market returns from physical assets; having developed the ‘asset-backed trading model' at National Power/Innogy (now part of RWE), now widely used throughout the industry. Tony was credited by Wikipedia with coining the term ‘spark-spread'.

Gareth Griffiths

Gareth is a senior commodities executive with far reaching, global, multi-commodity experiences focused on significant leadership roles, hands-on trading and risk management in addition to customer centric and asset management responsibilities. Gareth has worked successfully across disparate business models and business cultures on strategic renewals and business transformations. He began his commodities career as an energy analyst in Canada before joining various gas and power trading groups, first in Western Canada and eventually Houston, Texas, eventually being promoted to a position of NYMEX futures and options Desk Head. In early 2001, Gareth moved to Europe. As Senior Vice President of Trading and Chief Commercial Officer, he was tasked with (re) building and running all critical elements of commercial, trading operations for global, commodity merchant shops. Gareth's most recent role was as CEO for the world's largest sugar trader. Gareth's experience with trading and trading technology is extensive; from off-the-shelf CTRM/ETRM implementations to bespoke operating / optimization systems and trading platforms.

Greg Franco - Founder

Greg joined LNG Terminal Access Ltd with over 25 years experience in capital markets and energy trading / risk management. He has a BA in Economics from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania , an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and also studied International Finance, as an exchange student, at the University of Sydney in Australia.. Greg has a blend of professional and personal experience in North America, South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. His prior career includes being a Field Artillery Officer in the US Army ‘s 1st Cavalry Division. Greg has worked with several organizations in the trading space including being a Natural Gas Derivatives Trader for Sonat Marketing (currently Kinder Morgan), Financial Consultant for Shearson Lehman Brothers, serving as an M&A /Corporate Strategy Consultant for Utilities at Deloitte Consulting, providing Business Consulting services for Oil & Gas clients at Sapient Global Markets, being a Trading & Risk advisor for Banks and Energy firms at Tata Consultancy Services and leading Corporate Development efforts for the Lacima Group.

Kevin Heffron

Kevin has over four decades of experience in the wholesale commercial and investment banking, commodities and technology segments of the financial services industry. Kevin recently left a full-time executive role as President of Trayport, a wholly owned subsidiary of the TMX Group. Prior to joining Trayport in 2009 his roles have included serving as an Executive Director-VP at Enron Metals, a Senior Director at Bank of Scotland and as a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank-Bankers Trust. Kevin has a BS Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
