Tim Hawkins - President

Job Titles:
  • President
Tim Hawkins made the leap and started a financial planning practice in 2000. From the beginning, he set out to create a unique business model; 1) to act as a fiduciary putting the interests of clients first, and 2) to provide a high degree of knowledge regarding retirement plan rules, social security planning, tax rules, and investments. Tim and his family love sailing, and over the years, the nexus between sailing and retirement planning became more apparent to him. The thing he loves most about sailing is the preparation that goes into the trip. This includes pouring over charts to determine the best route, evaluating weather and wind forecasts to determine timing, assessing the craft and gear to ensure they are in good working order, and provisioning the boat to keep the crew fed. This type of preparation is also critical in helping his clients chart a course for their retirement. Tim helps clients determine what their destination looks like, evaluates the best way to get there, monitors the progress, and adjusts the course as needed. Tim completed the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) exam and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP™). He received his BS in Accounting from Iowa State University and his MBA from California State University Northridge.
