MACKENZIE JACOBSON

Mackenzie Jacobson graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and double minor in Criminology and Psychology. Prior to law school, she worked as a legal assistant for Wagner Stuart, PLLC and interned in the Victim Witness Center and Criminal Information Center for the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office. She went on to graduate with honors from the University of Tulsa School of Law, where she focused on trial practice, family law and criminal law. During law school, she interned for both the Eastern and Northern District of Oklahoma, wherein she assisted with prosecuting federal cases. She clerked for the late Honorable Judge Mike Norman of Muskogee County. And, worked as a Licensed Legal Intern for the Rogers County District Attorney's Office, assisting and prosecuting a wide range of criminal, juvenile and deprived cases. Prior to graduation, she was one of 12 law students chosen from across the nation to interview in Washington, D.C. for the United States Attorney General's Honors Program and ranked third after the final interview process was completed. She is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Tulsa County Bar Association, American Bar Association and Family Law Section of the TCBA. After law school, she worked as an Assistant District Attorney, where she prosecuted cases from simple drug possession to first degree murder. She gained additional experience in both jury and non-jury trials. She completed Drug Prosecutor school and Prosecutor Bootcamp. She also attended the Association of Oklahoma Narcotic Enforcers training yearly. Ms. Jacobson went on to work as an Associate Attorney for a family, domestic and criminal law firm in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She handled a wide range of cases, including adoption, misdemeanor defense, felony defense, guardianship, child support, divorce, paternity, emergency custody, protective orders and drafting wills. After years of practicing as an Associate Attorney, she went on to partner with Steven Wyers and Phillip Peak. Her office is located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

PHILLIP PEAK

Phillip Peak graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. In 2009, Phillip graduated from the University of Tulsa College of Law. While in law school, he worked as a Licensed Legal Intern for the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office assisting with general felonies and conducting preliminary hearings with a supervising attorney. He received his license in September, 2009 after passing the Oklahoma Bar Examination. Phillip began his practice at the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office, focusing on juvenile matters. Specifically, he was assigned to the Juvenile High Risk Probation, handling juvenile delinquent matters where the juvenile had an affiliation or membership with a gang. He left the juvenile bureau and began working on a felony team, prosecuting individuals charged with general felonies such as drugs, burglaries, DUIs, and theft. He then moved on to prosecuting major crimes such as robberies, DUI manslaughter, and murders. In 2014 he left the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office to enter private practice. He started off his private practice by practicing insurance defense, primarily focusing on municipal liability defense. He then opened his own practice in 2016. His current areas of practice include criminal defense, family law, juvenile law, guardianship, and personal injury. Mr. Peak has tried numerous jury and non-jury trials throughout his career.

STEVEN WYERS

Steven Wyers graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Marketing. Prior to that, Steven served in the United States Marine Corps following high school and then worked in the consumer electronics industry before deciding to pursue a legal career. In 2010, Steven graduated from the University of Tulsa School of Law, where he focused on trial practice and strategy. While in law school he worked as a Licensed Legal Intern with the Tulsa County Public Defender's Office, assisting in both criminal defense cases and also in representing children in abuse, neglect and adoption cases. He received his license to practice law in September of 2010 after passing the Oklahoma Bar Exam. For the first several years after receiving his license, Steven focused primarily on Family and Criminal law. He has represented hundreds of clients in all types of family cases, including divorce, adoptions, guardianship, paternity and child custody cases. His criminal practice has included defending both misdemeanor and felony cases all over northeastern Oklahoma. He is experienced in both jury and non-jury trials as well as the appellate process. In 2014, Steven expanded his practice to include probate, business litigation and personal injury. He has attained summary judgments, large settlements and jury awards in civil litigation cases. Estate planning, wills and trusts have become a growing part of his practice in response to client demand. In order to provide the best possible representation and services in so many areas, Steven limits the number of cases he takes on. His offices are in Broken Arrow and Mannford, Oklahoma, and he practices primarily in Tulsa, Creek, Rogers and Wagoner Counties. He is also licensed to practice in Texas.
