ADEKA originated from Tokyo Denka Kogyo-sho, which was founded By Furukawa General Partnership and others in 1915 as a manufacturer of caustic soda from electrolytic cells. We were incorporated and renamed Asahi Denka Kogyo K.K. in 1917 and began manufacturing hydrogenated hardened oil in 1919. With soda grease as our two main business areas, we evolved as a chemical manufacturer. Subsequently, our business has achieved diverse growth into areas of chemical and food products.
