On the occasion of World Environment Day,2023 a Walkathon on the theme "Beat Plastic Pollution" was organised by the District Administration, Bongaigaon. It was attended by Officers of the District Administration, Senior Citizens, Master Athletes, Heads of various departments, Chief manager,SBI Bongaigaon Members of Nehru Yuva Kendra and students of various educational institutions The walkathon concluded with a sapling distribution drive wherein saplings of various flowering plants and fruit bearing plants were distributed to each participant... On occasion of World Environment Day, 2023 a Street play, "Plastic Eru Prithvi Garhu" was organised by the District Administration, Bongaigaon in collaboration with Bongaigaon District Artists' Society at The Borpara Bus stand in Bongaigaon Town. It was attended by officers of district administration and general public. The street play concluded with distribution of various saplings to every participant and audience.
