Attorney Kevin Edwards is a co-founder of DFW Injury lawyers. During his law school tenure, Mr. Edwards worked for a prominent local personal injury attorney, where he gained valuable pre-litigation, litigation, courtroom, and trial experience in lawsuits involving car wrecks, commercial trucking wrecks, medical malpractice, premises liability and catastrophic injury. Following his graduation from law school, Mr. Edwards joined a high-volume civil litigation/insurance defense firm in Dallas, Texas, where he defended corporations, insurance companies, employers, trucking companies, and numerous businesses and individuals throughout the State of Texas. After approximately five years on the defense side of the docket, Mr. Edwards had seen enough of the corporate and insurance company greed. In 2008, Mr. Edwards moved across the courtroom aisle to help plaintiffs whom he had seen from experience suffer real, and often times, debilitating injuries and were deserving of compensation. Over the last 15 years, Mr. Edwards has dedicated his practice to helping those who have been injured or harmed by the negligence, malfeasance, and/or recklessness of others. He has represented thousands of victims in personal injury matters, defective products cases, and mass tort litigations against medical device and pharmaceutical companies.
Mr. Edwards is licensed in both State and Federal Courts in the State of Texas and has achieved a number of distinctions from his colleagues. From 2013 until 2017, Mr. Edwards was designated as a "Rising Star" by SuperLawyers®, which is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. From 2014 until 2017, he was designated "Top 40 Under 40" by the National Trial Lawyers Association, a professional organization composed of the premier trial lawyers from across the country who exemplify superior qualifications as civil plaintiff trial lawyers. Mr. Edwards is originally from Houston, Texas. After graduating high school from Houston's Alief Hastings High School, he attended the University of Texas at Austin on a swimming scholarship. He was a member of the 1995-1996 National Championship Swimming & Diving Team. After graduating from UT-Austin, Mr. Edwards studied law at Texas Tech University School of Law, earning a Juris Doctorate in 2003. In law school, Mr. Edwards was a member of the Texas Tech Law Review and served as the 3L class president. Since 2003, Mr. Edwards has called the DFW Metroplex home where he strives to provide the best legal representation and achieve just results for each of his deserving clients.

Attorney Pedro "Peter" De La Cerda is a co-founder of DFW Injury Lawyers. As a young attorney looking for courtroom experience, Mr. de la Cerda began his career defending physicians, nurses, hospitals, trucking, and manufacturing companies in disputes involving personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability, and toxic tort. After seeing many people who were truly injured and deserving of fair compensation, however, Mr. de la Cerda was moved to cross the courtroom aisle and prosecute cases on behalf of plaintiffs in personal injury cases.

Mr. de la Cerda grew up in Dallas, Texas in a tight-knit community that valued faith, hard work, and helping the less fortunate. After high school, he attended The University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated in three years with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Deciding to pursue a career in the courtroom, Mr. de la Cerda then attended Texas Tech University School of Law, as well as the Rawls College of Business. There, he earned both Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration degrees. He was a member of the Texas Tech Law Review and Beta Gamma Sigma, and graduated with honors.
