Kelly is Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology at Oberlin College. She joined Fancy Comma while studying her PhD in Sociology at the University of Oklahoma. She holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Sociology and a Certificate in American Indian Studies from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. Kelly's PhD research focused on sociology of law with a focus on American Indian sovereign rights. She has five years of experience conducting quantitative social scientific research and writing research papers at the graduate level. Sheeva Azma has been a freelance science writer since 2013.
