Alex White

Alex is a talented clinician that brings a wealth of passion and experience as a group facilitator and experiential therapist. Alex's warmth, relatability, and professional skills allow him to foster deep connections with Evoke participants. His love for learning and genuine curiosity towards life is palpable. Combined with an extensive clinical background, Alex's presence and authenticity naturally conveys a feeling of safety and acceptance within the therapeutic process. Alex is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a diverse range of professional experience in residential, wilderness, university, and community-based treatment settings. He approaches his clinical work with a trauma-sensitive lens informed by ongoing training in the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM). Outside of his time with Intensives, Alex is a therapist at the University of Utah Counseling Center empowering young adults on their journeys of growth and independence. Alex is an outdoor enthusiast seeking to take advantage of every opportunity the Wasatch Range has to offer. In the summer, he can be found rock climbing, mountain biking, and trail running; while in winters, you'll find him backcountry snowboarding in search of fresh snow and peaceful spaces. Alex also enjoys yoga, art, and live music, all the while accompanied by his therapy puppy, Juniper.

Brand Bonsall

Brand works well with adolescent boys who are depressed, anxious, manipulative, often intelligent, and sensitive, and who struggle with attachment, identity, and self-concept. These boys can often feel a pressure to achieve and have turned to maladaptive patterns such as substance abuse, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and lying and manipulating to cope. Brand has experience working with students who have experienced many forms of trauma including the death of a parent, personal injury, and abuse. Brand's personal experience as a manipulative and sensitive teen struggling with self-concept allows him to relate well with this population. Brand's joy in playing as hard as he works is another relatable attribute that this client population often begins to identify with and realize is possible and healthy.

Christian Snuffer

Christian's first foray into behavioral health treatment was through the wilderness. He quickly realized he enjoyed the "therapy" part of wilderness therapy as much as actually being outdoors. He decided to pursue this line of work as a career and continues to use the power of adventure and experiential education as a catalyst for change within himself and those he serves. Christian is an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor licensed in Utah. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Utah and a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Prescott College. He has a variety of experiences in different behavioral health settings, including wilderness therapy, substance abuse, adolescent residential treatment, and community advocacy and harm reduction.

Dave Archer

Dave graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Communications, and later continued his education at Argosy University, where he completed a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Over the past decade, Dave has worked with adolescents, couples, and families in both outpatient and residential treatment settings, including roles such as Family Teacher, Primary Therapist, and Clinical Director. Dave has been certified multiple times in the Teaching Family Model, and is trained as a Brainspotting practitioner.

Emilee Krupa

Emilee is a Licensed Substance Use Disorder Counselor and holds a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. Her journey into the recovery field began as a residential staffer for an adult substance abuse treatment center where she fell in love with the world of recovery and helping families heal. Prior to joining the Evoke team, Emilee worked in a variety of settings as a substance abuse counselor. It was there that she had the opportunity to develop substance abuse programming for a therapeutic boarding school and later a wilderness therapy program. Through this experience, Emilee knew she wanted to further her education in Marriage and Family therapy so that she could treat the whole family rather than just the identified patient.

Emma Reedy

Emma grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. She studied Psychology, Family Studies, and Human Development at the University of Utah. She grew up in the treatment world and fell in love with the depth and connection in the field. She began working for a residential treatment center for adolescent girls in 2015.

Gabrielle Burton is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She is very excited to be able to support Intensives participants through their journey at Evoke as she has attended an Intensive herself several years ago and it changed her life! Gabrielle has worked in a variety of therapeutic settings from St. Jude's Ranch for Children, serving teens in the foster care system to working in a K-8 charter school as a clinician onsite. Currently she runs her own telehealth private practice and offers coaching services.

Jordan Kling

Jordan specializes in working with individuals, families, and couples who are struggling with interpersonal relationships and who seek to identify a stronger sense of self. With warmth, humility, and authenticity, she meets clients where they are, creating a safe relationship in which to heal and grow. She practices through an attachment-based, family systems lens, pulling from lived experience to create a more comprehensive narrative for the people with whom she works. As a relational therapist, Jordan builds safety and connection as key components of solidifying an effective therapeutic alliance. Mindfulness is an important aspect of her personal and professional practice and she brings this into her work to help clients build resilience and awareness.

Kate Hubrich

Kate brings a passion for connection and creativity to Evoke. She has been deeply drawn to the experiential, creative therapeutic styles as well as mindfulness-based practices. Kevin "KP" Padowicz

KP oversees the outdoor young adult program at Entrada. This includes program-wide leadership and ensuring all program policies and procedures are being followed. KP also develops and implements young adult programming, trains field instructors, facilitates adventure trip programming and activities, and oversees all operations at the Oasis. KP is a graduate of Evoke's young adult program and is passionate about honoring the intrinsic fundamentals of Evoke while also continuing to develop new practices and programming that meet the needs of modern young adult participants. Born in Syracuse, New York, KP moved to a rural part of central Virginia when he was six years old and had the unique experience of being raised in a southern town by parents who were very much from the north. KP studied classical guitar at Virginia Commonwealth University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music. During the latter portion of his college experience, KP was overwhelmed by a paralyzing depression that led him to seek various forms of professional help. After some significant struggle, he found Evoke Therapy Programs and after graduating the program went on to successfully complete his music degree. KP came back to Evoke to work as a field instructor in 2013 about a year and a half after graduating from the program. He spent the next 8 years working in the field for different lengths of time before stepping into an Operations role at Evoke. Often when KP would step away from the field, he worked various food service industry jobs and sold guitars in a retail setting, largely in Las Vegas, one of his favorite cities. It was a desire for more engaging, meaningful work that continued to bring KP back to Evoke, where he relishes the opportunity to work with young adults who are in different phases of their own unique journey toward whole, sustainable health. KP enjoys playing guitar, listening to music with an intentional ear, and engaging in meaningful conversations with friends, family, and strangers in his free time. He loves the desert and continues to find wonder in the various awe-inspiring spaces of our natural world.

Malia joined Evoke in the first days of the COVID-19 crisis. In her first week, she was able to see the positive impact Evoke had not only on its families and clients but also on the public as the company opened up normally private webinars and online support groups to help anyone who was feeling anxious during that difficult time. Watching Evoke's people pull together to serve the common good was comforting and inspiring.

Matt Jacobson

For two decades, Matt has worked as a guide, group facilitator, and counselor. He earned his master's in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University, where he focused on Wilderness Therapy and the treatment of psychological trauma through Mindfulness-based counseling, Play Therapy, and other Somatic interventions. In the Fall of 2020, he will begin work on earning his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. He has a decade of experience as a school counselor, where he worked closely with both students and their families to promote positive participation and non-violent communication, and he has extensive experience in conflict resolution.

Steve joined the admissions team at Evoke Therapy Programs in April 2006. His primary desire in joining Evoke was to be part of a process that has such a positive and powerful impact on those struggling to find their way emotionally and behaviorally and to give hope to parents, families, and young adults searching for help. Steve's own struggles as an adolescent, and now the constant endeavor of raising three kids of his own, have provided a well-rounded perspective on the parent/child dynamic and its challenges.
