Christine Lewis-West

The new member of the Jump Recruitment Team. Years of experience in hospitality and the service industries. Christine developed her service skills firstly as a nurse and then as an International Flight Attendant with British Airways based in London. On return to New Zealand worked in several roles including personal styling and presentation, vocational training, and hospitality.Christine went on to owning and running a couple of highly successful cafes including Vanilla Bean and Club Tower Cafe & Bar which supported the earthquake recovery. She has also worked for a major Christchurch hospitality company managing Front of House Customer Services, Human Resources and staff recruitment. In recent times she has managed The Air New Zealand Lounges portfolio for Compass Group NZ, Food and Hospitality Support ServicesChristine has a degree in HR Management and is a strong communicator. Her people experience is a huge asset to Jump Recruitment and of course our candidates and clients.

Hayley Baker

​Hayley is one half of the management team at Jump Recruitment, boasting years of experience in recruitment and retail/hospitality management. She got a taste for hospitality at a young age, waitressing and bartending before working her way up to management roles. Hayley put herself through university, graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Commercial Law and Management. After graduation she opened her first successful business, Recycle Boutique at the Tannery in Christchurch. Since then she has helped set up and run several retail businesses, including multinational brands like Country Road. Hayley really hit her stride when in the recruitment industry, using her extensive experience inside the retail and hospitality industries to help source talent and solve problems for her clients. Hayley's also got plenty of experience in accounts, payroll, stocktaking, costing, HR and systems set up.

Simon Baker - Managing Director

Managing Director Simon Baker runs Jump Recruitment with his better half, Hayley.Simon has spent most of his life in hospitality; studying at CPIT, spending seven years managing busy bars and nightclubs in Europe, then returning to New Zealand to expand a business across the North Island and eventually open his own successful restaurant. However, Simon's true calling was discovered in recruitment. Helping connect Kiwi restaurants, bars and hotels with the talent they need to succeed in a notoriously competitive industry. These days in his role at Jump Recruitment, Simon is the go-to expert for HR consultations, sales, team building and performance management and is a well-known figure across hospitality and retail.
