Leopoldo Leal is an educator, graphic designer and type designer, based in São Paulo (Brazil). He holds a Ph.D. in design from the University of São Paulo (2019), postgraduate certificate from the Type West Letterform Archive (2022) and a postgraduate certificate from Plantin-Moretus Expert Type Design Class. His book Graphic design creative process: Pandemonium, is a result of his Ph.D. dissertation which was awarded at Type Directors Club, Latin American Design Awards and Brasil Design Award. In over 20 years of experience, Leopoldo have worked as a designer at Pharus, Landor, Interbrand, Futurebrand and GAD 'Branding.
