Don Grafton

​Don Grafton is the Senior VP of Operations for Lubrizol. In this role, Don leads operations across our global portfolio, solidifying Lubrizol as an industry leading chemical company by ensuring a strong culture focused on safety and operational excellence. Throughout his career, Don has a proven track record of overseeing reliable, safe and sustainable operations. He previously served as Vice President of Operations for BHE Renewables where he was responsible for all aspects of operations, including safety, environmental compliance, information technology/cyber security, efficient generation, transmission interconnection and community relations. During his tenure with BHE Renewables, Don held a variety of operations roles across the organization. Prior to his work with BHE Renewables, Don held a variety of operations and HSES roles at MidAmerican Energy Company's Walter Scott Energy Center.

J. Brian Pitts - CFO, SVP, Treasurer

Brian Pitts is senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of The Lubrizol Corporation. Brian joined Lubrizol in 1998 and has held a variety of accounting, finance and commercial positions during his Lubrizol tenure. Brian served as general manager of TempRite® Engineered Polymers until assuming his current role as Chief Financial Officer in March 2018. Throughout his career, Brian has worked at several company facilities, including the Lubrizol regional office in Shanghai, China, where he led the region's finance and accounting team. Prior to joining Lubrizol, Brian worked at specialty chemical manufacturers, Monsanto and Solutia, in various accounting roles. Brian earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee in 1993 and his MBA from the University of Alabama in 1995.​

Jason Sussman - Chief Legal Officer, SVP

​Jason Sussman is Senior Vice President & Chief Legal Officer for the Lubrizol Corporation. He joined Lubrizol in 2003 as a mergers and acquisitions attorney, eventually becoming responsible for Lubrizol's corporate transactions group and its commercial insurance function. In his more than 18 years with Lubrizol, he has served in many legal capacities of increasing scope and authority. Most recently, he served as Lubrizol's General Counsel where he was responsible for protecting the legal health of Lubrizol by delivering competent and effective legal and insurance procurement services, supporting acquisitions and divestitures, and commercial transactions. Jason has oversight of Lubrizol's global Legal and Corporate Responsibility teams, including Ethics, Sustainability and Regulatory Services. Jason is accountable to deliver high quality legal and advocacy services ensuring Lubrizol operates as an ethical, responsible, and sustainable enterprise to meet our business objectives. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University and a Juris Doctor degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

John J. King - CIO, SVP

John J. King is senior vice president and chief information officer for The Lubrizol Corporation. John joined Lubrizol in 1989 working as an end-user support specialist before moving into information technology (IT) management. In 1997, John joined IBM as manager, worldwide e-commerce, where he led the rollout of IBM's personal systems group e-business strategy. Upon his return to Lubrizol in 2000, John held several IT management positions, including an assignment in Rouen, France. John was named vice president, information solutions for Lubrizol Additives in 2004. In the years that followed, John added various corporate responsibilities encompassing IT strategy, M&A integration and digital technology implementation before assuming his current role as Chief Information Officer. Throughout his career, John has been involved in key initiatives for the company, including global SAP implementations; web and business process strategies; manufacturing automation solutions and global communications to support internal and external customer needs. John holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Ohio University and a master's degree in business from Case Western Reserve University. He serves on the advisory board of SafeGuard Technology, the board of directors for Fairhill Partners, the board of directors for DigitalC and the board of directors for Breakthrough Schools in Cleveland.

Kristin Marquardt

​Kristin Marquardt is Director of Ethics and Compliance of The Lubrizol Corporation. Ms. Marquardt joined Lubrizol in 2004, initially serving as corporate counsel to several business units and eventually becoming a member of the corporate ethics office. In her current position, Ms. Marquardt is responsible for managing all aspects of Lubrizol's global ethics and business compliance programs, including training, investigations, risk assessments and third-party reviews. Prior to joining Lubrizol, Ms. Marquardt worked for Noveon and BFGoodrich in various legal roles, and for Thompson Hine LLP as an antitrust associate. Before her days as a lawyer, Ms. Marquardt worked in human resources for Amoco Chemical Company. Ms. Marquardt earned her B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Mary K. Rhinehart - Chairman

Mary K. Rhinehart is chairman of Lubrizol's board. The Lubrizol Corporation, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is a leading global specialty chemical company. Mary also serves as board chair of Johns Manville, a global building and specialty products manufacturer and Berkshire Hathaway company. She became Johns Manville's president in 2012 and assumed the additional role of chair in 2014. Prior to these roles, she was the company's chief financial officer for eight years. During her more than 40 years with Johns Manville, she held leadership roles in treasury, supply chain, mergers and acquisitions, and human resources. She also managed several of the company's business units.

Rebecca Liebert is President and Chief Executive Officer of The Lubrizol Corporation, a Berkshire Hathaway Company. She leads the premiere global specialty chemicals company in pursuing its mission to continually innovate, solve its customers' most complex challenges and help millions of people, communities and businesses around the globe move cleaner, create smarter and live better every day. Rebecca was most recently Executive Vice President at PPG Industries, a global paint, coatings and specialty materials company. She joined the company in June 2018 leading the automotive OEM coatings business, including the company's mobility initiatives. Her most recent responsibilities included leading PPG's global industrial segment, Asia Pacific region oversight, and functional responsibility for global procurement, resin and industrial segment manufacturing. Prior to PPG, Rebecca served as President and CEO of Honeywell UOP, a leading international supplier to the petroleum refining, gas processing, petrochemical production and major manufacturing industries. During her career with Honeywell, she also served as Senior Vice President and General Manager, catalyst absorbents and specialties, UOP; Senior Vice President and General Manager, gas processing and hydrogen; and Vice President and General Manager, electronics materials. Prior to joining Honeywell, Rebecca served as President of Reynolds Food Packaging, Alcoa KAMA. Rebecca began her career as a Development Engineer with Nova Chemicals. She held several positions of increasing responsibility during her tenure at Nova. In 2022, she was elected to the highly esteemed National Academy of Engineering for her leadership in developing and executing innovative initiatives to strengthen and advance the manufacturing industry. Rebecca earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Kentucky; a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University; and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

Rick Tolin - SVP

Rick Tolin is senior vice president and president of Lubrizol Advanced Materials, where he oversees a team developing and enabling scientific innovations that improve the performance and reliability of products in the health, beauty, home, medical, pharmaceutical, industrial, building and construction industries, among others.​ Rick joined the company in 1993 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing and international business management within Lubrizol's coatings and personal care businesses. In 2011, he was named vice president and general manager of the personal and home care division of Lubrizol Advanced Materials. He was appointed to his current position in 2016. Prior to joining Lubrizol, Rick worked at specialty chemical firms RITA Corporation and Carroll Scientific in technical, sales and business management roles. Rick attended St. Joseph's College and the University of Notre Dame where he received Bachelor of Science degrees in Physics and in Mathematics.
