Dr. Kamat graduated Magna Cum Laude/Phi Beta Kappa from Brooklyn College SUNY Downstate Medical Center's prestigious BA/MD program. He completed a general surgery internship at Beth Israel Medical Center and an otolaryngology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary-Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery . There, he received several honors such as the Chief Resident Award, Teaching Award, Research Award and the Turner Award for Residency Excellence. Dr. Kamat then went on to complete a Rhinology and Skull Base fellowship at the world-renowned Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He believes in providing his patients with personalized medical therapy, minimally invasive office procedures including balloon sinuplasty, and safe innovative techniques in sinus surgery that include image guidance technology, micro-instruments, and drug-eluting stents.
Under the guidance of pioneers in the field, Drs. David Kennedy, James Palmer and Bert O'Malley, Dr. Kamat became highly adept in medical and surgical therapies for advanced nasal/sinus disease in both adults and children. He has specialized training in primary and revision sinus surgery, frontal sinus surgery, allergic fungal sinusitis, and cystic fibrosis related sinus disease. His other areas of expertise include allergic rhinitis, acute and chronic sinusitis, frontal sinus disease, nasal polyps, papillomas and other sinonasal tumors, mucoceles, tear duct blockage, snoring, deviated nasal septum, nasal obstruction, nose bleeds, sinus headaches, smell and taste disorders and laser therapy for hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT).

Christopher Rhynehart began his nursing career at Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall in 2013 and quickly discovered his passion for Emergency Nursing. Christopher started as a Med-Surge nurse before transitioning to the Emergency Department. He quickly took Charge Nurse responsibilities before taking over as Clinical Nurse Manager in 2019. Christopher is a lifelong resident of the Newburgh area and is committed to the health and wellness of the community in which he serves.

Daniel Maughan RN, BSN, MBA, MSN, FNP-C, President & Chief Executive Officer at Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall has been working in health care for more than 25 years. Dan, originally from Ireland, has worked throughout the tri-state area during his career, most recently settling in Newburgh.
He has worked primarily in Emergency Health Care, previously working in urgent care centers, other Emergency Departments, Primary Care offices and as a NP Hospitalist.

Dan is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. He currently resides in Newburgh and enjoys camping and fishing in his free time.
Daniel Maughan, President & CEO of Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall (MSLC), is a visionary leader. Mr. Maughan was at the forefront of the healthcare industry transformation over the last decade, preparing MSLC for the rapid cycle changes healthcare continues to experience. Through strategic partnerships and aligning community needs, he continues to advance the healthcare needs of the Hudson Valley.
Mr. Maughan first joined MSLC in 1999 as an ER Nurse. Subsequently, he went on to hold other clinical and administrative roles including Nursing Supervisor. After completing a second master's degree, and obtaining certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Mr. Maughan returned to MSLC in 2012 as the Director of Emergency & Respiratory Services. In 2015, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President, followed by several other promotions including, Vice President of Patient Operations & Transformation, and Chief Operating Officer. In January of 2021, Mr. Maughan was named President of the Hospital and on January 1, 2022, he assumed the position of President & CEO.
Mr. Maughan is proud to serve his community as the leader of Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall. Dr. Craig Berzofsky is a board-certified Otolaryngologist and fellowship-trained Laryngologist, specializing in treating voice, airway and swallowing disorders. After graduating from Emory University in Atlanta, Dr. Berzofsky received a Master of Health Sciences in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore. He then matriculated from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Berzofsky completed a general surgery internship at Saint Vincent's Catholic Medical Center and an Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, both in New York City. While at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, Dr. Berzofsky was the administrative chief resident and a recipient of several accolades, including the Turner Award for Excellence in all aspects of residency and the Resident Teaching Award.
During residency, Dr. Berzofsky furthered his interest in laryngology through ongoing research in laryngeal nerve injury and reinnervation. He completed a laryngology fellowship with Dr. Gayle Woodson, a pioneer in the field, at Southern Illinois University. During this time he learned the intricacies of medical and surgical management of disease related to airway, voice, and swallowing. He focuses on treating pediatric and adult patients with hoarseness, laryngopharyngeal reflux, vocal fold paralysis, muscle tension dysphonia, spasmodic dysphonia, paradoxical vocal fold dysfunction, vocal tremor, benign and malignant vocal fold lesions, tracheal stenosis, laryngeal stenosis, tracheomalacia, laryngomalacia, laryngeal clefts, dysphagia, cricopharyngeal dysfunction, Zenkers diverticulum, and chronic cough. Dr. Berzofsky utilizes direct in office imaging through awake endoscopies to help correctly diagnose his patients. His treatment of these diseases include combinations of medicine, voice therapy, swallowing therapy, respiratory retraining, in office botox injection, injection vocal fold augmentation, and surgical treatments both endoscopic and open.

Dr. Jaime Cepeda Jr. is a board certified surgeon, currently serving as Medical Director, specializing in General, Bariatric and Vascular surgery procedures. Dr. Evan Cohen is an emergency medicine physician serving the NYC area for more than 3 years. Dr. Cohen is Board Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Rasamny completed medical school at the University of Virginia and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Virginia, where he was the recipient of the prestigious Mulholland Society teaching award for his work with medical students. Then, Dr. Rasamny received a fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania where he also served one year as a clinical instructor on staff in the Head and Neck Oncology division.
He completed his fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania under the tutelage of Dr. Gregory Weinstein and Dr. Bert O'Malley Jr. who are among the earliest innovators of Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS). As such, he has specific interest and experience in the application of TORS for the minimally invasive treatment of tumors of the tongue base, tonsil, pharynx, and parapharyngeal space.
Dr. Rasamny's practice focuses on the care of pediatric and adult patients with malignant and benign tumors of the head and neck including cancers of the oral cavity, pharynx, and larynx, tumors of the paranasal sinuses, endocrine tumors involving the parathyroid and thyroid glands, tumors of the major and minor salivary glands, and cutaneous malignancies including melanoma of the head and neck. Dr. Rasamny is trained to perform open and endoscopic approaches for treatment of tumors of the skull base and paranasal sinuses as well as complex reconstruction of head and neck defects.

Kathy Sheehan has been with Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall for more than 35 years with the majority of her experience in the Emergency Department.
Kathy views nursing as a lifestyle and is known as a community nurse. She frequently dedicates her time to educating teenagers about the dangers and privileges of driving by partnering with Orange County Safety Awareness in the "Not One More Forum." She also educates preschool and elementary aged children with "The Teddy Bear Clinic" a program dedicated to making toddlers feel comfortable when coming into the hospital.
Kathy is also a volunteer nurse liaison for Wallkill Volunteer Ambulance Core.
Kathy is a bachelors prepared RN who provides exceptional care to our patients and provides education and leadership to the staff at MSLC ED.

With over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, both in the healthcare industry as well as the local business community, Nick has been key in growing partnerships and philanthropic support throughout his career. Nick brings experience, energy, and pride for the community in all that he does. A graduate of Mount Saint Mary College with a degree in communications, Nick is a past recipient the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce Forty Under 40 Award as well as the Mount Saint Mary Alumni of the Year Award.

Dr. Meytes is a bariatric surgeon trained to offer minimally invasive/robotic hernia repair, gallbladder removal, acid reflux surgery, and bariatric surgery including gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy. Early in his surgical training at NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, he recognized a growing need to offer the highest level of care in the most minimally invasive approach for various diseases. Since 2017, Dr. Meytes has been providing quality surgical care to communities in the Hudson Valley. A native of New York City, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, attending concerts, and being a medical advisor for multiple TV shows.
