AMY JOHNSON - Founder

Amy H. Johnson has more than 20 years of law firm experience. She believes in empowering others to succeed. Her standard is excellence. Ms. Johnson is a trained educator, with years of experience as both a claims professional and a paralegal. She also completed her Master's degree focusing on Organizational Leadership. She knows what is important to build a powerful case file, and she has the unique ability to teach others how to truly grasp and apply the concepts. Identifying and addressing missed opportunities in profitability and productivity, she focuses on leveraging each employee's strengths for the betterment of the firm. Ms. Johnson was a Visiting Professor for an international university teaching courses in Business Law and Organizational Leadership. She was honored as a 2022 Unsung Legal Hero by Lawyers Weekly and the 2017 Paralegal of the Year by the American Academy of Justice. She has presented to audiences nationwide on topics including witness interviews, trial preparation, Adobe, Microsoft Excel, mining the internet, and Dram Shop litigation, and she has received national recognition for her approach to reviewing and organizing medical records and bills. She served a three-year appointed term planning the educational offerings for a national paralegal organization and also served on the Ethics Committee for the National Association of Legal Assistants. She's had numerous articles published in professional journals. Before opening her own company, she was employed as a Senior Litigation Paralegal and Paralegal Manager for a successful plaintiff firm, working on catastrophic injury cases totaling more than $100 million in settlements and verdicts during her ten years there.

Kim Reese

Kim Reese holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Social Work, with a focus in administration, from the University of South Carolina. Prior to joining The Angle, her primary focus has been grants and project management, data collection and oversight, and evaluation of outcomes for non-profits for the past 10 years. ​Mrs. Reese is organizationally skilled and a critical thinker, and brings that experience to The Angle.

MICHELLE HELSCHER

Michelle received her Bachelor of Science Degree from East Carolina University in 2004. Michelle has over 15 years of paralegal experience, specializing in catastrophic personal injuries. She has worked for two prominent SC law firms, where she served as lead trial paralegal for trials in South Carolina, Mississippi and New Jersey. In addition to her paralegal experience, Michelle brings 7 years of experience working in a multi-office physician's practice where patients' needs ranged from chronic pain syndrome to traumatic brain injuries. What drives Michelle is her passion for helping others, especially when she can make a difference for those whose lives have been drastically altered due to injury.
