The Way Back is now a managed care model of substance use treatment as assigned by the DMC ODS, yet we strive to keep elements of our legacy, Social Model, recovery program. We put special emphasis on wellness rather than sickness and encourage clients to participate in all areas of life that will help facilitate a healthy and successful transition back into the community... The Way Back is a 24-bed residential alcohol and drug treatment program for men. Our program is designed to pave the way for men to achieve long-term recovery... The Way Back, Inc. is under contract with San Diego County Behavioral Health Services and is funded by the County of San Diego and Medi-Cal.
