Ken Okumura is the founder of Okumura Partners and a former City lawyer who moved into legal recruitment in 2013. He has extensive knowledge and experience of London law firms and Offshore law firms in the Caribbean and Channel Islands from his time spent in the industry.
Ken trained and qualified at Lovells (now Hogan Lovells), moved to Magic Circle firm Allen & Overy where he worked for three years and then moved to the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean to work for Forbes Hare. On his return to the UK, he joined SJ Berwin (which became part of King & Wood Mallesons) before moving into legal recruitment with Robert Walters, a large, international recruitment agency in 2013. At Robert Walters, Ken recruited for the London private practice market as well as running the Offshore practice, ultimately becoming manager for the London-based private practice team.
In 2020, Ken founded Okumura Partners Limited with a view to offering a personalised, consultative recruitment service to candidates and clients alike.
