AMERICAN POINTER CLUB

The American Pointer Club is a community of dedicated Pointer owners and breeders who have a common goal, to protect and advance the Interest of the Pointer. On any given weekend you can find us enjoying the company of Pointer-owning friends at AKC dog shows, hunt tests or field trials, performance or companion events, and much more... The American Pointer Club is the official parent club of the breed with the American Kennel Club, holding events under their rules. The AKC expects the club to set and maintain the official breed standard, the written description of the ideal Pointer. APC also raises money for health research, supports breeders' efforts to produce better, healthier dogs, educates judges and the public about the breed, and helps families find puppies and adults available from responsible breeders.
