Abimbola Farinde is a practicing pharmacist and professor who has gained experience in the field and practice of mental health, geriatrics, and consultant pharmacy. She has worked with active duty soldiers with dual diagnoses of a traumatic brain injury and a psychiatric disorder providing medication therapy management and disease state management. Dr. Farinde has also worked with mentally impaired and developmentally disabled individuals at a state supported living center.

Alexis Tumblin

Alexis Tumblin has over 13 years of combined healthcare and research experience within a retail pharmacy, academic research hospital, and contract research organization in therapeutic areas oncology, HIV/AIDS, urology, gastrointestinal, and respiratory.

Ann Wortinger

A practicing vet tech for more than 33 years, Ann began in general practice and transitioned to emergency/critical care medicine, working in a specialty practice for more than 16 years and in veterinary technician education for more than 10 years. She earned her certification in Emergency/Critical Care (ECC) in 2000, Small Animal Internal Medicine (SAIM) in 2008, and Nutrition in 2013.

April Doctor-Small

April Doctor-Smalls' work experience includes over 25 years in the health care industry and over 6 years as an adjunct faculty member. As a health care clinical services analyst, she has incorporated an awareness of how important it is to be in an arena that is growing by leaps and bound.

Barbara DiLorenzo

With over 23 years of experience in graphic design, Barbara is fluent in Adobe PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, and InDesign. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Art and studied with a renowned painter with the Art Student League of New York.

Carl Price

Carl has more than seven years of teaching experience in post secondary education. He also has experience as a geophysicist and motivational speaker.

Carla Hardy

Carla Hardy is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a strength and conditioning specialist, and by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America as a group exercise instructor. She has served as a high school track coach, personal trainer, exercise physiologist and group exercise instructor. Carla currently works as the Wellness Coordinator at Emory University's Blomeyer Health and Fitness Center.

Carol Holmes

Carol's work experience includes over 15 years in the field of Anthropology, Social Research, and ESL adult education. She has conducted ethnographic fieldwork and archival research in Georgia (USA) and Brazil. She has also studied the present-day science of Genomics. Carol's academic experience includes private ESL instruction with adults and children. She has taught ESL in South Korea, where she prepared young adults for college-level work in American universities. Carol also has experience developing curricula, private instruction on academic and technical writing as well as acclimating recent immigrants to the American corporate-business environment through cultural immersion courses.

Catherine Kelly

Catherine has more than nine years of experience in retail sales leadership working with national retailers such as dELiA*s, Old Navy, and Nordstrom where she was awarded the 4th Quarter All-Star award in 2012. Crystal Waldrop

Crystal has over 14 years of experience in education and psychology and has knowledge in human growth and child development. She currently works at a private school and has vast knowledge of the educational needs of her students. Her work experience has given her the skills needed to create new strategies and approaches to help her students in the learning process and recognize possible improvements. Crystal also has experience in managing and coordinating unique classroom curriculum for the learning essentials of each student.

Danielle Chesek

Dr. Andy Shean

As Chief Learning Officer at Penn Foster., Dr. Shean leads academic program leadership, curriculum and courseware, academic support, faculty, non-academic support, and academic operations in pursuit of improving student lives. Prior to joining Penn Foster, Dr. Shean was the Senior Vice President & Chief Academic Officer at National Education Partners. He has also served in roles such as the Chief Academic Learning Officer for Bridgepoint Education, Vice Provost for Ashford University, and Executive Dean for the College of Education at Ashford University. He previously served as a high school English teacher where he was named the 2009 District Teacher of the Year. Dr. Shean earned his Doctorate of Educational Leadership and Management degree from Alliant International University. He holds an MA in Education and a BA in Sociology from the University of Northern Colorado.

Dr. Anthony D. Daniel

Dr. Anthony D. Daniel has more than 20 years of experience as a middle, upper, and executive manager in the public sector. He served as a field probation officer and warden for the Georgia Department of Corrections, and served in management positions through which he emphasized security, operational management, leadership pipeline development, and performance management for large, complex organizations. He currently provides organizational development consulting to both the public and private sectors. He holds an SHRM-SCP from the Society of Human Resource Management.

Dr. Lea Craig

Lead faculty member Dr. Craig graduated from the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program at Ontario Veterinary College in 2007. She has extensive first-hand experience in AAHA-accredited small animal hospitals in Canada and the U.S. and has been teaching online veterinary technician courses since 2013.

Dr. Manal Abdullal

Manal has managed training and staff development activities in instructional technology, business and education roles for over 20 years.

Dr. Sally Lozada

Dr. Sally Lozada has nearly 20 years of professional and academic experience primarily focused on higher education administration. Following time in the Peace Corps teaching English, Sally began her career as an Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs. Her administrative work at a public two-year college focused on quality orientation to ensure students got off to a strong start on their educational journey.

Fred Claus

Fred is an experienced educator with over nine years of experience teaching computer science and technology courses. He holds a bachelor's degree in technology management and a master's degree in Information Systems Management.

Ginger Devine

Ginger has 30 years of experience as a successful Attorney and 20 years of experience as an educator. She holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence, a Bachelor of Arts in English/History, and has received numerous honors and awards for her achievements such as the American Jurisprudence Award, Exceptional Faculty Award, and a President's Endowed Scholarship from one of the universities she attended.

Huda Samrin

With almost 30 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, Huda's knowledge in the field ranges from working in pharmacies and hospitals to working for the Department of Veterans Affairs. She continues to serve our Veterans while also sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience with our students.

Jacqueline has over 12 years of experience as a florist and event planner. Jacqueline completed her florist training in New York City and founded Stellar Style Events, Floral & Event Design. Jacqueline's business specializes in exquisite floral design and luxury standards to magnify every kind of occasion. Transforming an array of large scale venues and events Jacqueline's talents have developed an outstanding reputation for Stellar Style Events. Jacqueline has had floral pieces featured in many publications including All About The Dress, New York Weddings, Ceci Style, Munaluchi Bride, Traditional Home, and Brides magazine.

Jeanne R. Perrone

Jeanne Perrone has been a certified veterinary technician since 1991. She chaired the organizing committee for the Academy of Veterinary Dental Technicians (AVDT) and earned her Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) in Dentistry in 2006. She has since worked in dental specialty practices, teaches dentistry for St Petersburg College and Vetmedteam, and provides in-clinic trainings in dentistry. She recently earned her MS in Instructional Design and Technology and published the second edition of Small Animal Dental Procedures for Veterinary Technicians and Nurses.

Jocelyn Jones

A passionate educator with over a decade of experience, Jocelyn currently owns and operates an in-home daycare, and also runs various babysitter training camps. Additionally, she works for the Council for Professional Recognition as a professional development specialist, where she mentors and coaches candidates applying for their Child Development Associate certification. Jocelyn also observes and monitors candidates in various classroom settings.

John "Bill" Mauzey

Bill Mauzey has over 25 years of professional and education experience focused on history, humanities, geography and education. Bill has also worked in retail in the jewelry industry where he earned a degree as a graduate gemologist.

John Stronkowski

John is just shy of 40 years of experience in his field and holds numerous licenses and certifications in HVAC Technician, Plumbing, Heating & Air-Condition, and Heating Solar Thermal. He has served in roles of varying capacities such as Director of Education/Vice President, HVAC Service, and Department Head for a Plumbing Program.

Josh Schlote

Joshua is a Licensed Veterinary Technologist with 16 years of veterinary experience in small animal medicine, emergency/critical care, referral/specialty care, and education. He co-authored the textbook Diagnostic Imaging for Veterinary Technicians.

Julie Sullivan

Julie has more than 16 years of experience in the interior design of commercial and residential projects, sales, and home staging. She has a specific interest in environmentally-friendly design solutions and materials and is well-versed in using CAD software for her projects.

Karissa King

With over 15 years of experience in early childhood education, reading and literacy instruction, and elementary school education, Karissa is an experienced instructor who is also a member of five professional organizations. She holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education, a master's degree in education in curriculum and instruction, and a doctor of education with a specialization in reading, literacy, and assessment.

Katrina Simpson

Katrina Simpson is certified in Sterile Processing through the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD). She began as a nursing assistant. In 2004, she worked as a Certified Surgical Technician in the operating room. In addition to the Ashworth College faculty, Katrina serves as Program Coordinator for Sterile Processing, and Lab and Clinical instructor for Surgical Technology at a community college.

Kay Green

For over 10 years, Kay has provided specialized marketing consultation and instruction to clients and students both domestically and abroad. Certified in both instructional design and online instruction, Kay's mission is to provide high-quality, innovative, expertise through practical application in the virtual classroom.

Kelly Blood

Kelly is a Registered Veterinary Technician. She graduated in 2015 but has been involved in Veterinary Medicine since 1997. She has spent most of her career in general practice but has also worked in emergency medicine as well as with exotic species and large animals. Her passions are intensive care nursing and diagnostic imaging.

Kimberly Mosher

Kimberly's passion for the field stems from over 25 years of progressive early childhood education experience. She served as a Center Director of an early childhood education (ECE) center for 20 years and continues to grow in her expertise as the Program Director at an ECE center and an instructor to our ECE students. She holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and a master's degree & Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education and Development.

LaTasha Brown

Not only has Megan been a credentialed veterinary technician for over 10 years, she also brings vast educational experience to her current role. She worked at Penn Foster, first as a student advisor then transitioning into an instructor role. Megan has an AS degree from Johnson College, where she was the valedictorian of her graduating class. Michele has more than 20 years of corporate management experience with special expertise in call center operations, events marketing and association management. She also has significant experience as a course author, curriculum developer and educator.

Mike Middleton

Mike Middleton has devoted his career to health, fitness, and athletic coaching. He has worked as a professional NBA talent scout, and a personal fitness and athletic trainer to individuals of all skill levels. Mike holds several training certifications in the fitness industry. He also has degrees with emphasis in business management, and experience managing both large fitness gyms, and athletic training centers.

Nadia Blake

Richard Thurman

Richard Thurman has over 28 years of business experience primarily in financial services. Spending the majority of his career in banking operations, Richard was a successful reconciler, team leader, work coordinator and a consumer dispute supervisor. Richard was also instrumental in automating the consumer dispute process with the ResQue credit reporting on-line software. He has also written training manuals, conducted training workshops and managed a corporate move between states. Specialty in Early Childhood Education.

Robert Freeborough

Robert has been teaching in higher education for 8 years in both online and traditional classroom environments. He has 17 years of leadership and management experience, primarily in non-profits which has enabled him to effectively consult with nonprofit leaders to identify and catalyze growth opportunities. Rob has a PhD in Organization and Management, a Masters of Business Administration, and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

Robert Rigney

Robert has more than 20 years of professional and academic experience focused on education, politics, and economics. He has worked in the Nevada, Washington, and Georgia State legislatures on a variety of issues. He has conducted research on a number of public policy issues from transportation to works compensation, transportation, and educational issues. Robert has experience teaching and developing courses for both on-line and on-ground classes at several different colleges and universities. He is currently pursuing his Juris Doctorate.

Stephanie has over ten years of experience in Allied Health, including medical billing and coding, medical administrative assistant, and other subject areas. She is a registered medical assistant and health information technician, and certified in professional biller, allied health instructor, and medical billing and coding.

Suzanne Fauver

She is a certified veterinary technician who graduated from Johnson College with an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology. Along with her love for educating veterinary technician students, she has a passion for large animals and large animal medicine.

Tanisha Rodgers

Tanisha has 11 years of teaching experience. She has a passion for helping students to learn new and innovative ways to incorporate science in their everyday lives.

Thomas Frisco

Thomas Frisco has nearly 30 years of experience in pharmacy including more than a decade as a specialist in pharmacy technician education. His background in retail pharmacy operations and hospital patient care has afforded him a deep understanding of U.S. Pharmacopeia regulations, medication management, dispensing and compounding, records management, aseptic technique and beyond; the training and practice of these is integral to the development and implementation of valuable career training programs for aspiring pharm techs. Tom joined the Ashworth College faculty in 2017 and moved into his role as Director of Pharmacy Technician Programs in 2018. He is licensed as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of New York and holds a Bachelor of Science degree.

Tonita Hollins

Tonita holds dual master's degrees in business administration and criminal justice, as well as a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. Her teaching experience includes courses within human resources, business, criminal justice, and information technology.

Vicki McLain

Vicki has been an online educator for over seven years. Prior to that, she practiced extensively in the field as a veterinary technician. This includes three years in a general animal practice and thirteen years in the research environment. She is LATG certified through AALAS and earned her VTS in Laboratory Animal Medicine in 2017.

Victor Oladapo

Victor is an influential and performance-focused professional with a stellar record of achievement in HR leadership. He has been teaching in higher education for seven years. He has completed an immense amount of research in the field and with many of those being published. Dr. Oladapo has more than 20 years of experience in human resources management during which he has worked as an HR manager for several major corporations including Lowe's and Walmart. He is a certified Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) through the HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®) and has additional experience in hotel restaurant management.

Vincent Giordano

Vincent has over 10 years of experience teaching in higher education. He has taught at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Much of his academic focus has been on criminal justice courses. However, Vincent also has taught human services courses and supervised several dissertations. In addition to his teaching experience, Vincent has also published several academic articles. Some of these articles can be found in the Journal of Drug Issues and Corrections Today. Dr. Giordano has more than 15 years of experience teaching in higher education and more than a decade of experience in substance abuse counseling. He is a committed scholar with numerous publications and lectures devoted to furthering research in human services.
