Dr Farshid Shoja Assadi graduated from Birmingham University in 1995 . He obtained his MFGDP qualification in 1998 from Royal College of surgeons in London.
In 1999 he purchased his first practice in Wolverhampton with his wife Nazanin and shortly after a second practice in Birmingham City Centre . Dr Shoja-Assadi obtained his MSc in General Dental Practice at Birmingham University in December 2007.

Dr Laura Wood BDS Birmingham 1985: My name in Laura and I qualified Dentistry in 1985. After 5 years in general practice, I found a passion for Orthodontics & underwent a two year clinical assistantship in Orthodontics at Kidderminster General Hospital. I continued to work within the hospital until 2007, alongside working in a Specialist Orthodontic Practice. Over my career, I have treated over a thousand NHS & Private patients to create their perfect smile. I provide a variety of orthodontic treatments such as fixed braces both metal and ceramic; Invisalign; & Incognito braces.

Nazanin Shoja Assadi obtained her dental degree at Liverpool University in 1990.
In 1994 she began her Orthodontic course and was successful in graduating from both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh and hence obtaining her M.Orth from both these centres in 1997. Nazanin was runner up in the Orthologic prize for examination case presentations that year and later in 1993 she also obtained a Masters in Dental Science from Liverpool University.
In 1999 she purchased a practice in Wolverhampton along with her husband who is also a dentist, where they have since built up a large portfolio of patients.
Dr Nazanin Shoja-Assadi is also the Practice Owner and Specialist Orthodontist. As a Specialist Orthodontist she uses the latest procedures to straighten your teeth. These include Invisalign and clear brackets and wires. Our patients love Naz and she is highly recommended by many dental professionals.
My name is Fatoumata and I started my Dental Nurse journey in 2014. I went on to join Goldthorn Dental Surgery in May 2019 and I take great pride in caring for patients. I like to ensure they are comfortable & relaxed throughout treatment.
I'm Harj, I started my career in dentistry in 1998. After qualifying I gained a further qualification in Radiography. I was a Head receptionist for 12 years before I joined the fantastic team at Goldthorn Dental Surgery. I have a vast amount of knowledge and experience over the years & I am delighted to use my skills to assist the local community.
My name is Lindsey and I qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2005. Since then I have undertaken additional qualifications in Oral Health Education & Radiography. At Goldthorn Dental Surgery I provide Oral Health Education Clinics to help our patients benefit from my extended knowledge in this area.
I'm Melissa and I'm a fully qualified Dental Nurse. I joined Goldthorn Dental Surgery in 2010 and am truly passionate about my profession, taking a specific interest in Orthodontics. This led me to undertake a course in Orthodontic Nursing, as well as Dental Radiography and Impression Taking.

My name is Natania, I started Dental nursing in 2016 & joined Goldthorn Dental Surgery in March 2020. My aim is to ensure our patients have the most pleasant journey possible & I am thrilled to be a part of a great team and look forward to develop my career further.
Sonam: I'm Sonam, I joined Goldthorn Dental Surgery in 2015 as a Trainee Dental Nurse. Since qualifying I have completed an Impression Taking Course & a Dental Management Course. I dedicate my time in to making sure the practice is run in a calm, safe & professional manner. I have a real passion for Dentistry & I'm always looking opportunities to progress within my role.

Stuart qualified from, the University of Birmingham in 2012. His degree was awarded with distinction in Clinical Dental Hygiene. Stuart has worked in both NHS and private practice since graduating.
Working alongside the dentists, his role as a Dental Therapist includes oral hygiene instruction, scaling and polishing as well as providing restorative work (fillings). He also provides crowns on children and extractions of deciduous teeth as well as gum disease treatments. Stuart generally ensures all of our patients here at Goldthorn Dental Practice maintain optimum oral health.
Stuart has a keen interest in treating patients who are dentally anxious or those that have additional care needs. He finds this very rewarding and enjoys giving people their confidence back in dentistry. He has helped many patients overcome bad experiences in the past and now these patients will not see anyone else for treatment.
Stuart also enjoys providing cosmetic work including aesthetic white fillings, composite veneers and carrying out tooth whitening.
Outside of work Stuart enjoys exercising, particularly going to the gym. He also has two miniature dachshunds who he spends a lot of his spare time with and spends a lot of his time talking about!
