HEALTH ON 21 MEDICAL CENTRE - Key Persons
Our Registered Nurse Angelique joined Health On 21 in July 2019. Angelique has a background in remote area/emergency nursing, but has been a practice nurse since 2007. She has extensive knowledge and experience in general practice, and is dedicated to delivering great health care. Angelique is an avid antique furniture collector.
The practice manager started in January 2019. Brendan has a background in radiation oncology, medical physics and has been in administrative roles for a number of years prior to starting in this role. He likes surfing and sailing so if he is not in he may be across the road at the new Palm Beach artificial reef.

Dr Rob Brown is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners who graduated medical school in 2004. Since this time, he has worked in indigenous communities, rural/remote areas and tertiary hospitals throughout Australia and New Zealand. He is experienced in men's health, skin cancer surveillance, family medicine, emergency medicine, musculoskeletal and Sports medicine, mental health and substance abuse.
Dr Leah Pischek Simpson is a highly qualified psychologist with extensive experience in helping people with complex mental health difficulties. She completed the seven-year clinical doctorate program at Griffith University and has since developed her skills working in private practice treating adults and older people, both men and women.
Her areas of expertise include: adult survivors of child sexual abuse; post-traumatic stress; drugs and alcohol; psychosis, chronic pain, grief and loss; adult ADHD; and relationship difficulties. For more information about Leah and her services visit her website.
Dr Sarah Morrison-Gardiner opened Health On 21 Medical Centre in late 2018. She has a background in research science prior to studying medicine, with a PhD in Marine Ecology. Sarah loves to travel with her family and spend the rest of her down time on the water.
She has been working as a GP on the Gold Coast and Northern NSW since 2011. She can manage most General Practice needs, including Women's and Children's Health, Skin Checks, and Aged Care.
Eva Isaksson is a passionate Physiotherapist, who graduated and practiced in Sweden for many years before moving to the Gold Coast in 2004.
In addition to her extensive knowledge and experience in Physiotherapy, Eva has had extensive post-graduate studies in Women & Men's health, Vertigo & Balance, Acupuncture & Dry Needling, Pain Management, and Sport Injury & Rehabilitation. Marina has been working at Health On 21 since April 2019, and enjoys the patient interaction that working on reception brings. As a tea enthusiast she will readily make a good cup of tea while you wait for your appointment. A big perk for Marina is that the practice is just across the road from the beach!
