1979: Incognito Eyewear was founded in Chicago as an affordable fashion eyewear company. The brand began with Vintage Dead Stock styles that were sold out of Cream magazine... 1982: Incognito's store front opened in downtown Royal Oak, MI (the founder's home town). A rock n' roll inspired clothing store, specializing in band tee's, leather jackets, funky footwear, & accessories. The eyewear business operated out of the store's basement.
