Ms. Samuels, the founder of Little Steps 1, Inc. dedicated her life to her specialty. Intrigued by the love to clear sophisticated speech she developed a new technique of accent reduction back in 1997. Her extraordinary forward vision utilized "teletherapy" procedures back then. Adelina Samuels MA CCC-SLP, Clinical Director and founder of Little Steps 1, Inc graduated top of her class from St. Johns University. Ms. Samuels is a trained bilingual specialist who is dualy certified and licensed to provide therapy in New York and New Jersey , and is an active member of American Speech & Hearing Association (ASHA). She was mentored by the president of ASHA, Dr. Donna Geffner. Just two years after graduating she owned and operated one of the largest and most successful Early Intervention Home Care Agency in New York. For the last decade she owns and operates Little Steps Speech and Language Clinic. In her 20 years of experience Ms. Samuels has dedicated herself in helping families with children who suffer from communication and feeding disorders. She made it her life mission to help adults with the communication and physical disorders to restore their functional abilities due to neurological accidents and/or illnesses. Her vast amount of experience in theraputic intervention and ability to work in conjuction with other disciplines (e.g., OT, PT, Nutritionists, Psychologists, Developmental Pediatricians, ENT, etc.) make it easier to tailor a custom and individualized plan of treatment that would lead to a successful outcome.
