NORTHERN ICU

The Northern ICU is a modern 18 bed metropolitan unit, located within a rapidly growing hospital with one of the state's busiest Emergency Departments and Cardiac Cath labs. We are a level 1 unit, managing a broad range of medical, surgical and obstetric patients, and lead the hospital Medical Emergency Team and ICU Liaison services... We pride ourselves on a supportive and collegiate culture, working together with all craft groups across the health service to achieve the best patient outcomes. We are staffed by a multidisciplinary team comprised of highly qualified critical care nurses, intensivists, allied health professionals, and dedicated administrative and support staff... We are accredited for foundation, core, and final transition year CICM training, as well as for postgraduate critical care nurse training. The ICU runs weekly protected consultant-led teaching sessions, with a dedicated program for CICM primary candidates, and fellowship exam support from 2 Fellowship..
