Neurodiversity Foundation was created by Petra Conradie and Ben Truter in 2018, in parallel to them having established the Neurodiversity Centre in 2017. The intention from these beginning days was to create a non-profit organisation that would offer neurodevelopmental services to under-resourced communities, where very limited access to such services exist. Their vision was to bring the same level of specialised clinical support services offered in private practice, to environmentally-deprived communities in rural areas of South Africa.
