Ashley Alliston serves as a Client Relationship Manager for OneAscent Wealth Birmingham. Ashley enjoys building relationships with client families as she manages the day to day activities of client accounts. Ashley joined OneAscent Wealth, formerly Pearson and Associates, in 2015. Ashley obtained her B.S. majoring in Accounting at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1993. She began her career at BBVA Compass Bank as an investment auditor where she passed the Series 7 exam and obtained her CPA license. Beginning in 1996, Ashley spent 16 years supporting her family's ministry and raising a daughter and son. She returned to the financial industry in 2013 as a bookkeeper to several companies and non-profits in the Birmingham area. Ashley is a member of Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church. She and her husband, Stacy have been married since 2013. They enjoy cooking and working out together.

Ben graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a finance focus. Previously a small business owner and entrepreneur, Ben joined the OneAscent team in November of 2018. Ben's role with OneAscent is built around serving individuals, families, and businesses. Whether it be helping individuals with their personal financial needs or helping employers impact their people through retirement plans, Ben is dedicated to helping people take care of the things that are most important them. Growing up in a family of business owners, Ben has developed a passion for seeing owners pour into and propel their employees forward. Ben helps employers with retention and growth strategies such as financial education events, in house one on one planning, structuring incentive plans, and corporate retirement plans. Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife, Madison, and sons, Callen and Jaxson. Ben and his wife have now renovated two homes in Chelsea, AL and always enjoy having a project going on around the house. Enjoying God's creation is another passion of Ben's; hunting, golf, or coaching baseball are a few of the many ways he enjoys the outdoors. Brent grew up in a small town in middle Georgia where he developed a strong work ethic through the time he invested in the family farm and helping his father and mother in the family insurance business. After attaining a business degree from the University of Georgia, he came back to his hometown of Cordele and took over the family's insurance business. In 1995, Brent began his investment career in Albany, GA with the goal of helping clients grow and protect their assets through comprehensive planning and asset management. Brent founded Whiddon Wealth Management in 2009. In 2015 Brent, Carolyn, and 7 of their 9 children bought a farm in TN, relocated their family, and opened his second office in Columbia, TN. With the strong desire to assist clients with aligning their investments with their values and to offer the best possible service to clients in both offices, Brent has joined OneAscent Wealth based in Birmingham. This step has been an answer to prayer, giving Brent the ability to work together with a wonderful group of like-minded people to serve clients in a way that has met and surpassed his original aspirations. Chad Harrison

Like one of the early influences in his life, Larry Burkett, he believes that the way we handle money is one of the clearest indicators of what we truly believe. Chad is a member of First Baptist Church, Clanton, AL where he serves on the Personnel Committee and Security Team. In his free time, Chad enjoys spending time with his wife, Julie, and their two young daughters, Ellie and Everlie. He also enjoys buying, selling, and appraising old U.S. coins and currency.

Before joining OneAscent in December 2017, Charlie served as CFO for a senior housing and property development company in Birmingham, AL. Prior to that, he served and CFO and Managing Director for a financial services software firm and was Partner and CFO for a senior housing firm. Charlie grew up in Birmingham, AL and attended Auburn University where he earned a B.S degree in Finance. He is married to Kim and has two sons. Cole Pearson

Prior to joining OneAscent in 2018, Cole was a Senior Investment Associate for Eventide Asset Management serving in similar capacities both on the sales/marketing and portfolio management teams. Cole enjoys spending time with his wife, Hannah, and their three young sons. Dean Niewolny

Dean Niewolny serves as Vice President of Strategic Engagement. In his role, he serves families alongside OneAscent advisors, equipping them to utilize their time, talent, and treasure to best live out their God-given callings. Dean has extensive experience equipping high-capacity leaders and a heart to serve people well and help them understand how to play their part in the Kingdom. Dean spent 23 years in executive roles with three of Wall Street's largest financial firms, finishing his career in the financial sector as a market manager for Wells Fargo Advisors in Chicago, where he oversaw a $100mm market. While in Chicago, he and his wife, Lisa, traveled many times to Africa, and seeing the abject needs of widows and orphans made life changes that enabled them to get involved, such as helping to complete an orphan home and a hospice home in Durbin, South Africa. In 2010, Dean left his marketplace career to help more people who, like him, wanted to expand their own first-half success and skills into passion and purpose for meeting human needs and making a significant difference. Dean joined the Halftime Institute as Managing Director and in 2011 became Chief Executive Officer. In 2021, after 11 years of faithful service, Dean stepped into the role of Chairman of the Board and Halftime Ambassador. He spoke at events around the world, encouraging business leaders to channel first half achievement into a second half defined by joy, impact, and balance. In 2017, Dean authored his first book, Trade Up: How to Go From Just Making Money to Making A Difference. In it, Dean shares candidly about his personal transition into a second half of meaning and significance and the learnings of the Halftime Institute over 20 years of helping marketplace leaders do the same. After obtaining a B.A. in Finance from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1996, Harry joined Ameriprise in early 1997. In 2002 he opened his own Ameriprise franchise, which expanded to include five advisors, five support staff, and offices in both Birmingham and Huntsville. Feeling led by the Lord to have a greater Kingdom focus with his practice, Harry founded OneAscent in 2017 to assist his firm and others across the country to advise with values-aligned, Kingdom-driven excellence. Harry has both Certified Financial Planner™ and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ (CRPC®) designations and was appointed to the Ameriprise Chairman's Advisory Council from 2012 to 2014. Heath is a member of Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church where he serves as a ruling elder and leads a high school boys discipleship group. Heather Howell joined OneAscent Wealth in 2020 and serves as the company's Operations Manager. In her role with OneAscent Wealth, Heather oversees many of the financial and operational functions for all OneAscent Wealth locations. Heather earned her B.A. degree in Accounting from the University of Montevallo. After graduation, Heather worked in public accounting with Warren Averett in Anniston, AL before shifting her focus to corporate finance. Prior to joining OneAscent, the bulk of her career was spent with Rock Wool Manufacturing Company in Leeds, AL. Heather began her time at Rock Wool as a staff accountant, but over the course of her 9-year tenure there advanced into an executive finance role before eventually moving into operations management. Heather and her husband, Jason, have been married for 15 years and are the proud parents of a daughter, Kayson. The Howells live in Pell City and are active in serving the Talladega County Schools as well as their home church, Cropwell Baptist.

John has been a frequent speaker and panelist, including at the University of Michigan Business School, MIT Forum, UNCC Five Ventures Business Plan Competition, and Kingdom Advisors, among others. John resides in Matthews, NC with his wife. They have two adult sons. John has developed his financial, operational and management business skills from a varied history of professional experiences. Following his lead role in the formation and launch of the Christian Investment Forum, John became the first Executive Director in order to continue the growth strategy of the non-profit trade association, until its merger with Faith Driven Investor. The goal of CIF is to build awareness and credibility for faith-based investing within the broader financial investment industry. In addition to his work at the Christian Investment Forum, John is also the Managing Partner in JAS Ventures, LLC, a consulting firm focused on helping companies develop and execute values integrated business practices. He is also a co-founder and President of RDJ Ventures, LLC, an early-stage biotechnology company. Prior to JAS Ventures, John was a partner at Sloan Ventures, an early-stage venture development firm. John managed all aspects of the Sloan Investment Fund, including limited partner reporting and investment activities for a number of the firm's portfolio companies. Jonathan Bennett

Jonathan Bennett serves as a Senior Accountant at OneAscent and is involved in multiple areas of finance. Jonathan executes the billing process through Black Diamond for each advisor every quarter. He also completes the weekly and quarterly metrics for all advisors at OneAscent. Jonathan grew up in Anniston, Alabama and moved to Birmingham shortly after graduating from the University of Alabama with a B.S in Business Administration focusing on Healthcare Management. While in Birmingham, he attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he received a degree in Accounting. He has served in different accounting roles since graduation before joining OneAscent in July 2020. Jonathan currently lives in Homewood with his wife Joy, his son Jeb, and their dogs Bear and Fitz. Kelly graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with a degree in Elementary Education. Joining R.J. Reynolds as an area sales representative brought Kelly to the state of Alabama in 1979. After being a stay-at-home mom with her three children, Kelly entered the education field as the Admissions Director of Briarwood Christian School in 2005, which meshed her education degree and sales background with her love of meeting new people. Kelly and her husband, Arnold, married in 1982 and are thankful for their three adult children, their wonderful spouses, and eleven delightful grandchildren. The Mooneys stay busy keeping up with this crew as well as serving in their home church, Meadow Brook Baptist.

Nathan holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems and a minor in Economics from Taylor University. He is a holder of the CFA Charter and CAIA designation. Nathan started his career at NationsBank where he spent several years managing institutional bond portfolios and an equity mutual fund. Prior to joining OneAscent, Nathan served as Chief Investment Officer of Greenhawk Corporation, a single-family office. At Greenhawk, Nathan was responsible for portfolio strategy and manager diligence. During his time at Greenhawk Nathan developed the allocation, sourcing, and diligence strategy for the private equity portfolio. Prior to Greenhawk, Nathan spent almost 15 years with GenSpring Family Offices, a unit of SunTrust Banks, where he constructed portfolios for multi-generational families. While at GenSpring, Nathan served on the Investment committee and manager selection committee and served developed programs to mentor junior investment staff. Prior to GenSpring, Nathan spent four years with the family office group of Wachovia Bank. Nathan resides in Birmingham, Alabama with his wife and three sons. Rob obtained a BS degree from the University of North Alabama, where he was awarded an athletic scholarship. Rob and his wife, Shawn, have been married for over 30 years. Except for a 2-year stint in Atlanta, they have resided in Birmingham throughout their marriage. They are parents to Jordan Grubb Harrison, Morgan Grubb Terch and Erin Schaffeld. They also have five grandchildren. Rob and Shawn have a passion for ministering together to families through their book (Developing a Generation of Sexual Purity) which serves as a parents guide for training children in purity. Rob is an active member of the Church at Brook Hills where he has served in a variety of leadership roles. While at Brook Hills he has served as an ordained elder and a member of the administrative elder team. In addition, Rob has also served on other non-profit boards. Rob Riley serves as an investment analyst for OneAscent Investment Solutions. He is responsible for portfolio trading, market and manager research, and portfolio screening. Rob enjoys being a resource that helps advisors serve their clients. Rob graduated from the University of Alabama in 2007 with a B.S. majoring in finance. He worked in several areas of the investment industry and ran his own business before landing at OneAscent in 2020. Rob has been married to his wife, Anne for 13 years. They have 3 daughters and attend Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church. He enjoys working outdoors, golf, and goofing off with his wife and daughters.

Savannah Stewart serves as a Marketing Associate for OneAscent and helps execute a variety of marketing strategies. She is passionate about leveraging communications and media to serve others well and glorify God. Savannah graduated in 2019 from The University of Alabama with a B.A. in Public Relations with a Technological and Digital Communications concentration, a Communications Studies minor, and a Spanish minor. She has previously held marketing roles in the specialty foods, employer branding, and trade book publishing sectors. Outside of work, Savannah loves spending time with family and friends, preferably at a book club meeting or concert. She is a member of The Church at Brook Hills, where she serves weekly as a small group leader for single women in their 20s and 30s and as a preschool ministry leader.

TJ Claud serves as Chief Compliance Officer for OneAscent Wealth Management and OneAscent Financial Services. TJ's responsibilities include the ongoing development, implementation, and monitoring of OneAscent's compliance program pursuant to federal and state rules and regulations. Prior to joining OneAscent in 2021, TJ was the Legal and Compliance Officer for Resource Management Service, LLC, an investment adviser registered with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"). In addition, TJ served as Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel for Holland Financial, Inc., an investment adviser registered with the SEC. TJ holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - with a double major in Finance and Economics from Auburn University, a Master of Business Administration from Samford University, and a Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law, Samford University. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida.

Todd Decker

Todd Decker is the Chief Growth Officer for OneAscent Wealth, a Birmingham based wealth management firm with clients in over 26 states and offices in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida. Todd graduated from Duke University where he was a quarterback for coach Steve Spurrier and earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Todd joined OneAscent from accounting firm Warren Averett, where he was the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer. In addition, he spent over a decade holding senior leadership roles in banks including Bank of America, Regions, and BBVA. Todd lives in Mountain Brook and attends Mountain Brook Baptist Church. Todd and his wife Laura have been married 27 years and they have three children. Todd is a member of the Monday Morning Quarterback Club and a volunteer youth football coach.

Prior to joining OneAscent, Tom was a founding Partner of Asset Management Services, LLP (AMS) an independent RIA, and a founding partner of PlanTech, LLP, an ERISA consulting and plan administration firm. Tom has 32 years of experience designing and administering retirement plans providing business owners and their valued employees with the opportunity to build a successful retirement through their employer-sponsored plans. Tom loves to work alongside families to plan and build a lasting family legacy with community impact. Tom, is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA), and holds the Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) credential. Tom maintains an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA) designation. This IRS credential allows Tom to represent clients before the IRS regarding retirement plans. Tom is an active member of Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church where he has served in various leadership roles and was ordained as an elder in 2005. Tom and his wife Tara have been married for 37 years. Wade Johnson serves as Director, Transition and Operations for OneAscent. Wade guides transitioning advisors and firms as they join OneAscent and continues to serve after the transition in his capacity as Director of Operations. Wade has a B.S. from the University of Virginia and worked as a chemist and laboratory manager for 12 years. From there, God changed his course to become a Chief Compliance Officer and Operations Manager for Beacon Wealth (RIA) for 10 years. Wade holds the Certified Securities Compliance Professional designation from the National Society of Compliance Professionals and has helped to build compliance systems for both firms. Wade is based in Roanoke, Virginia. He enjoys running with his bride, Emily, and time outdoors with his children, Caroline (10) and Andrew (8). They are active members at Calvary Memorial Church.

Will Sorrell

Will Sorrell is married to Sarah Catherine, calls Birmingham home, and is passionate about the intersection of faith and finances. Will's responsibilities include shaping OneAscent's values-based investing framework, overseeing macroeconomic research, and serving advisors as they serve their clients. Prior to joining the OneAscent, he worked in the commercial banking and business-as-mission sectors. Will earned a joint-MDiv and MBA from Samford University's Beeson Divinity School and Brock School of Business, respectively, and a bachelor's degree from The University of Alabama. He is a CFA Level I candidate and has written for numerous faith-based websites and blogs, including The Gospel Coalition.  Outside of work, Will enjoys being outdoors with family, barbecuing with friends, and reading theology, poetry, and fiction. He is an active member of Grace Fellowship, where he oversees courses on and liturgical implementation of faith and work theology, writes for the Grace Writers' Collective, and teaches children's church. He also preaches monthly at the Jimmie Hale Mission.
