Mike Sabellico has served as a part time consultant, full time Senior Procurement Advisor and now is the Regional Director of the San Diego, Orange, Imperial APEX Accelerator. He is a versatile executive management professional and has over 30 years of diverse work experience in leading programs, managing multi-million dollar budgets and assets, and improving quality and processes. He is a twenty year Veteran of the US Coast Guard with several Command Cadre tours. During his time with the Coast Guard, he gained a significant amount of experience in Maritime and Emergency Response, ranging from Search and Rescue and Maritime counter smuggling efforts to hurricane and natural disaster response. After leaving the Coast Guard, he managed a robust business development program for a San Diego based defense contractor with offices throughout the US. He left that company in 2010 to launch Vanguard Global Solutions, a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business specializing in Homeland Security, Emergency Preparedness, and specialized business consulting focusing on marketing, growth strategy, certifications, and sales. Mike is a hands-on program manager with an impressive ability to coalesce diverse technical and management skill sets within a team environment to achieve desired results. His government contracting experience in multiple industries provides an exceptional understanding and knowledge base into the challenges faced by small business owners entering government contracting.

Tanya Counts

Tanya Counts professional and educational background in Economic Development. She has over 15 years of experience working with businesses. Her specialty is in local government contracting and entrepreneurship. Prior to joining PTAC in January of 2020, Tanya was a manger in the Economic Development Department's Small Business Office for the City of San Antonio. In that role she was responsible for managing over 2,000 contracts for the City, managing Launch SA which is the City's Entrepreneurship Center, the City's Loan Buy Down program as well as the Culinary Incubator. Tanya managed the Citywide Diversity Action Plan Subcommittee as well as served on the Citywide Equity Committee. Prior to the position with the City, Tanya was the Director of Corporate Services and Administration for LiftFund, a Community Development Financial Institution. In that role Tanya managed the Compliance Department, all stakeholder relationships and assisted small businesses with gaining access to capital. Tanya is a native of California and received her Bachelor's degree in Economics from CSULB and a Masters in Nonprofit Management from UNLV. Tanya is a certified Contract Compliance Administrator as well as an Equity Trainer. Tanya has served on various small business selection and advisory committees.
