Charles S. Lauer

Charles S. Lauer was the publisher of Modern Healthcare magazine for more than 30 years. His early career includes successful tenures as the Midwest sales manager for two McGraw-Hill trade publications, and the general sales manager, then director of communications for the American Medical Association. Mr. Lauer also held various positions with Family Media, Inc. and Petersen Publishing. Mr. Lauer is the author of three books: Soar with the Eagles, Reach for the Stars, and Decency. He serves on the board of a number of institutions, writes regular columns for Becker's Hospital Review and Healthcare Business Media, and makes regular presentations to audiences across the United States. He was the recipient of the 2004 American Institute of Architects' Academy of Architecture for Health's Michael E. DeBakey Award for Achievement in Healthcare. He won the National Healthcare Award from B'nai B'rith International and was named an Honorary Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mr. Lauer is also a member of the Studer Group Hall of Fame, which honored him for his focus on the patient experience of care.

Fawn Lopez is Publisher and Vice President of Modern Healthcare and Modern Physician, a position she has held since February 2005. As the industry's leading source of healthcare business and policy news, research and information, Modern Healthcare and Modern Physician report on important healthcare events and trends, as they happen, through its websites, e-newsletters, mobile products, weekly print magazine and events serving the needs of hospital CEOs and top healthcare executives. Ms. Lopez came to Modern Healthcare as associate publisher in October, 2001 after serving over two years at one of its sister publications, Crain's Chicago Business. She served as national advertising director for this highly respected regional business publication from May, 1999 until October, 2001. During this time, Crain's Chicago Business experienced record breaking growth. Prior to joining Crain Communications Inc., Ms. Lopez served as advertising director of the Kansas City Business Journal in Kansas City, Missouri from 1986 until 1999. Ms. Lopez received a Bachelor degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of Missouri. Currently, Ms. Lopez serves as a board member of The Asian Health Care Leaders Association (AHCLA), The American Heart Association-Chicago, and The Heartland Alliance. She also serves on the Dean's Advisory Board at DePaul University-School of Communication. Additionally, Ms. Lopez is a member of the Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Healthcare Industry Foundation and several other health care and business related boards.

Harvey C. Sigelbaum

Harvey Sigelbaum, Senior Advisor for The Riverside Company, previously served as President and Co-CEO, as well as Vice Chairman and Executive Chairman, of MultiPlan, Inc., one of the country's largest healthcare network organizations. Previously, Mr. Sigelbaum was CEO of Amalgamated Life Insurance Company and CEO of Urban Community Insurance Company. Mr. Sigelbaum has been a director on a number of healthcare-related for profit and not-for-profit boards, and was appointed by President Clinton and confirmed by the U.S. Senate to serve on the Board of Directors of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. Mr. Sigelbaum, an attorney, has been a member of the New York bar since 1963. He has served as adjunct associate professor on the faculty of The College of Insurance, New York. He is a graduate of the University of Miami and Brooklyn Law School. Mr. Sigelbaum and his wife, Barbara, live in Manhattan. They have four children and (by last count) eight grandchildren.

Marc Weder

Marc Weder is the co-founder of Vesifact AG in Baar Switzerland. He and his father Professor Hans Georg Weder together launched Vesifact in 1987; the first spin off company from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich. Mr. Weder is a registered pharmacist and earned his Master's degree in Business Administration for SMB's at University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Marc and his research team are recognized in the scientific community for their applied technologies and formulation expertise. Rakesh Amin

He has served as the Chairman Emeritus of Hill-Rom Company since July 2005, and prior to that time held the position of Chairman since 1995. Mr. Kelley currently acts as the President of Advisors to Healthcare Suppliers, and serves as the co-chairman on the advisory boards of 1-800-DOCTORS and Achieve Corporation. Mr. Kelley has been honored numerous times for his contributions to the healthcare industry including as an Honorary Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives.
