ALINE-WENDY DUNLOP

Over a long career Aline-Wendy worked initially in early childhood, primary and special education, a residential home for mothers and babies, as a home-visiting teacher, a nursery head and later as a teacher educator and researcher. Now Emeritus Professor at the University of Strathclyde, she continues to research and write, do ceramics, dig her allotment and to play and learn with her grandchildren.

ANGIE WYLIE

Hi, I'm Angie Wylie, PNS's new Programme Manager and I am enthusiastic about working here with the team! With 40 years work experience, mainly in maternity, community development and facilitating community education. I am now pleased to be working with parents, their skills and the wellbeing of their families. I am also a trained and experienced therapist working with mental health and holistically. I have a passion for singing, music, books, people and nutritional cooking. I also adore nature and all the benefits of the outdoors…

ANN McINNES

As a parent of three children, now grown, I recognise that every day is a learning day. Being connected to support, education and tools helps us to support our child(ren) to navigate our changing world and to flourish. I was late to learning as an adult returner, following a lone parent returner programme, I found that I loved learning and later secured my BA in Business and Human Resource Management and PGDip Teaching Qualification in FE. I have worked with Colleges, Charities and Social Enterprises to support improvement of life chances of children, young people, individuals, and families improving access and attainment of education, career pathways reducing inequality, poverty, living conditions and race relations. I firmly believe that the ‘Scottish Parent Academy' supports parents and practitioners to build stronger, connected, and informed communities who build successful, fruitful futures for children and young people.

I specialise in the design, implementation, and development of large services for people who are experiencing homelessness. Ensuring a high standard of service provision which supports them to achieve positive outcomes and ultimately to reach their own potential. I have influenced significant increases in contract value and improved stakeholder engagement by the development of progressive feedback systems. I am an adaptive and passionate leader, who influences cross-sector partnerships which has led to the development of collaborative working connections. I create opportunities for my team to develop beyond their role which creates effective succession opportunities.

JACKIE TOLLAND - CEO

Jackie started her journey with PNS in 1994 where she was introduced to the programme working as a Community Development Worker in Drumchapel. As a fully trained facilitator and trainer, she knows the importance of family life and is a firm believer in building strong positive relationships and building confidence and skills for parents. Jackie's background is in Community Development and she has had the experience of living and working in Glasgow, Northumberland and Brixton. A Winston Churchill Travelling Fellow, she is taking what she has learned to further her passion in reaching out to as many families as possible and helping them build powerful, positive relationships. Jackie likes to go walking, and can be seen breaking into a run every now and again!

JOHANNA QUINNEY

Johanna is our Facilitator up in the Highlands and Moray, where she has lived for 23 years - the same amount of years she's been involved in Parent Network. Having moved to Scotland with three children and overwhelmed with parenting and a new home, she went on her first Parenting Matters course and hasn't looked back, training as a facilitator two years after completing her first course. Johanna now has five children, two are still teenagers and three that have flown the nest.
