Adriana Garcia

Job Titles:
  • Payroll Senior Manager
Adriana joined the practice in September 2001 as an internal accounts assistant and processing payrolls for a small number of clients. Her role in the practice has changed over the years moving away from internal duties and focusing on accounting work for various clients. She qualified as a Chartered Certified accountant in February 2013. Adriana is now the Payroll Senior Manager and looks after all client payrolls ranging in size from a single person to payrolls in excess of 100 employees, and also in various business sectors from domestic employers to plc's. As well as dealing with all aspects of payroll processing including pensions, settlement agreements and payrolling benefits, Adriana looks after PAYE Settlement Agreements, is involved in the preparation of Expenses and Benefits forms P11D and more recently acquired knowledge on requirements relating to employees who move to work abroad. Adriana was born in Poland and as a child moved to London with her parents in 1992. She now lives in North London with her husband and two boys. She loves baking, spending time with her family and holidays!

Alex Parker - CEO

Alex joined the practice from a Big 4 firm in 2000, qualified as a Chartered Accountant and then as a Corporate Treasurer. In 2018 he qualified to provide probate and estate administration services. He became a general practice partner in 2006 and was appointed as the firm's Managing Partner in 2020. Alex is experienced in financial management systems and reporting, corporate finance transaction support, treasury and financial risk management, high net worth private client support, and statutory accounts preparation and audit for companies and partnerships reporting under both UK and International Accounting Standards. Alex works mainly with private clients, property investors and developers, technology, healthcare and financial services business. Outside the office Alex is a keen sports fan, a mentor to people starting out in business and finance, and he sits on the Audit and Risk Committee of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Alex was educated at Brentwood School and King's College London. He is married to Peta and they have two children.

Andrew Moss

Andrew was born in Westminster and educated at St Andrews, Eastbourne and Harrow before spending a year in France. After taking a Foundation in accountancy he qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Lewis Golden & Co (now LLP), where he remains as a general Partner, specialising in giving general business advice particularly in the Real Estate sector. He takes pride in looking after his clients and giving high quality service. He is interested in people, encouraging and motivating those around him, and is particularly proud of the firm's successful training record. Andrew is a member of Court at the Merchant Taylors' Livery Company in the City of London where he chairs the Audit and the Wine Committees. He also sits on the committees for Admissions and Policy & Finance. He is a governor at Merchant Taylors' School, where he chairs the Committees covering Finance, Audit & Risk and Investment. He was previously a governor of St John's School Northwood and The Hall in Hampstead. He has been an active Trustee of The Dermatitis and Allied Diseases Research Trust since its inception in 1992. This charity, based at the Royal Free Hospital on Hampstead, aims to improve the treatment and care of skin diseases which tend to be a forgotten cause. Andrew enjoys an occasional game of golf, is a member of Royal St Georges Golf Club and also enjoys the other fine things of life; good food and wine, opera and gardening. With his wonderfully supportive partner, Estelle, he has homes in Central London and the Cotswolds. They have four children.

Dahlia Patsalides

Dahlia is a VAT Director in our tax department. She is a Chartered Tax Adviser and has specialised in VAT for over 20 years. Dahlia joined Lewis Golden in April 2020 from a medium sized firm in the city. She deals with a wide range of technical VAT matters for a broad spectrum of client types, in various economic sectors. She has knowledge and experience in most areas of VAT including partial exemption, transfers of going concerns and cross border supplies. Dahlia particularly concentrates on property VAT matters, advising commercial and residential property developers, investors, landlords, contractors and housing associations on various complex VAT issues and helping them avoid costly VAT mistakes. When Dahlia isn't pondering on the ‘simple tax..' (as then Chancellor, Anthony Barber, famously said on the introduction of VAT in 1973) she enjoys socialising with friends, running, chauffeuring her son around, and has recently taken up a new challenge of learning to play golf, with the aim of being able to beat her husband and son…one day!

David Edwards

David joined the practice in 1987 as a trainee chartered accountant and became a partner in 1993. He specialises in advising on all aspects of financial management systems and has significant experience of business acquisitions and disposals work in a variety of business sectors. In 2018 he qualified to provide probate and estate administration services. Born in 1965, David was educated at St Dunstan's College and Magdalen College, Oxford, he is married to Diane and has three children.

Eamonn Daly

Eamonn is a director in our audit and accounts team having joined the practice in April 2017 from a medium sized firm in the City. He qualified as an accountant in 2000 and brings with him over 20 years' accounting and audit knowledge and experience. In that time he has acted for a wide range of clients from start-ups to international groups across various business sectors. Eamonn's client portfolio predominantly lies within the property sector where he oversees the outsourced finance function for several of the firm's large property clients. In addition to his day to day outsourced finance duties his responsibilities include audits, accounts preparation and ad-hoc assignments for corporate and non-corporate clients. Outside of work Eamonn is kept busy with his three young daughters.

James Brennan

James joined the practice in August 2013 as a trainee accountant, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in August 2016, and is currently a Director. His responsibilities include overseeing the outsource of finance functions, statutory audits and accounts preparations, and ad-hoc advisory services for corporate groups, companies and limited liability partnerships, which operate in a broad range of business sectors. James also assists with the provision of high net worth client support services. James is passionate about the firm's training ethos, and manages the firm's mentoring programme, which provides team members with additional support to focus on, and achieve their own professional and personal development goals. James lives in Cambridgeshire with his wife and their two beagles and cat, and enjoys walking, cycling, cooking and watching formula one racing.

Keith Jones

Keith joined the practice in September 2018, having spent 20 years with a Top 10 firm and a further 10 years with a Top 20 practice. He was made an Audit and Accounts Director in September 2021. He has spent most of his career assisting owner managed businesses in achieving their goals and aspirations. He is experienced in providing compliance services, including accounts preparation, audit, payroll, corporate and personal tax. He enjoys advising clients on structuring, succession planning, profit extraction and raising finance. He has worked across a range of industries over his career and from start-ups to businesses looking to go on public share exchanges. Outside of work Keith enjoys country walks with his wife Jo and their dog Bertie and watching all sorts of sport.

Keith Mitchell

Keith joined the firm in 1997 as a qualified member of the audit and accounts team, and became a corporate commercial partner in 1999. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Keith has significant experience of UK real estate and private clients. Amongst others, his areas of work focus on business advisory, special projects, audit and assurance, financial and management accounting and reporting. He has led numerous special assignments over the years including acquisitions, disposals, set up and operation of finance functions, performance reporting, finance and other negotiations, financial viability studies and supporting clients with understanding and fulfilling their Director and Trustee responsibilities. Being a lark and lover of the outdoors, at weekends Keith thinks nothing of a 6 mile walk before breakfast - with or without a golf-bag. When the weather is kind, Keith's wife Karen and son Max happily lead the outdoor and or sporting activities; bike rides, football, tennis, cricket, golf, fishing, walks, to name but a few.

Kim Weightman

Kim joined the practice in January 2015 as a trainee accountant, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in January 2018, and is currently a Senior Manager in our Audit and Accounts team. Kim's current responsibilities include statutory accounts preparation and audit, for a range of companies and limited liability partnerships across different sectors but with a focus on owner managed business and SME's. In addition, Kim oversees the outsourced finance function for a number of clients which includes bookkeeping, preparing informative and useful management reporting and forecasts and preparing VAT returns. Kim lives in South London, and outside of work enjoys running and walking, balanced by her love for cooking, eating, drinking wine and doing karaoke with her friends!

Neil Benson - Chairman

A partner in the practice since 1963, Neil specialises in management services, management accounting and taxation, and has considerable experience of international corporate operations. He has served on the boards of a number of public companies; as Chairman of The Davis Service Group, (formerly Godfrey Davis (Holdings) Plc), of Moss Bros Plc, of Business Post Group Plc and as a non executive director of Shaftesbury Plc. Neil was honoured in 2004 for services to charity where his involvement has included the Foundation for Liver Research, The Cystic Fibrosis Research Trust, The Saints and Sinners Trust and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Born in 1937 and educated at Clifton College, Neil is married to Ann and has two children.

Neil Edwards

Neil joined the practice in July 2017 having worked for over twenty years at a number of financial institutions including private banks; wealth manager; life insurance company; and private client tax practice specialising in US persons. Neil is a Partner in the personal tax department and has particular expertise in the taxation of non-domiciled individuals; the use and taxation of UK & offshore trusts; and the UK tax treatment of life insurance investment bonds and other tax efficient investments. In 2018 he qualified to provide probate and estate administration services. Neil also has considerable practical knowledge on the pitfalls and opportunities for entrepreneurs planning a business exit and throughout his career has helped clients with their inheritance tax and estate planning, advising on how to protect wealth in a tax efficient manner. Neil lives in Twickenham with his long term partner, two miniature dachshunds (Gilbert & George), and one and a half cats.

Paul Dent

Paul joined the practice in 2004 as a trainee accountant, qualified in 2007 and became a partner in 2012. He is a general practice partner providing compliance services, including audit, accounts preparation, payroll and company secretarial compliance. Paul advises businesses on planning, start-up, systems and structuring. In particular, Paul develops financial models and was a finalist in the 2017, 2018 and 2019 Financial Modelling World Championship, coming third in 2018 and second in 2019. Amongst his portfolio are clients in the property and e-commerce sectors and a number of UK subsidiaries of international groups. Paul is originally from Yorkshire where he was educated at Ashville College, Harrogate, before obtaining a Master of Mathematics degree from the University of Warwick. He is married to Caroline and has two children.

Peta Parker

Peta joined the practice as a trainee in 2002 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2006. She became a Partner in the audit and accounts team in 2019, and is experienced in providing assurance and advisory services across a broad range of business sectors, with a focus on assisting privately owned SME's and their shareholders. Many of the businesses she advises are real estate investors and developers, or in the professional services or retail industry. She also works with many of the firm's charity clients. Peta works with entrepreneurial businesses through all stages of the business cycle, from start-up, advising on the systems, controls and processes that prepare a business for growth, through to sale. She is also a Business Finance Professional and is experienced in UK GAAP and financial reporting for companies partnerships and LLPs. She is passionate about the development of the firm's accounting and tax trainees through their qualification training and beyond, increasing further the knowledge and insights of the team and driving her enthusiasm for excellent client service into our future accountants. This passion resulted in her becoming the firm's Staff Partner and Training Partner in 2021, looking after the recruitment, training and development of our team. Peta lives in South London with her husband and two children, and enjoys walking, cycling and playing the piano.

Rebecca Reading

Rebecca joined the practice in January 2022. She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Rebecca's career has included senior roles in both practice and industry. She worked in house and experienced life on the client side of the table, which enables her to bring a particular perspective having seen advisers from a client's point of view. She enjoys the challenges tax brings, solving problems for her clients whilst being mindful that a great service experience is equally important. Long terms relationships, and being on the client's journey are motivators for Rebecca, and feeling like the adviser and client are one team. She is also really enthusiastic about helping others develop and become great tax advisers. Before becoming an accountant, Rebecca did a PhD in applied mathematics and it still interested in science generally. She used to be very committed to sport, but now exercises more for fun, and she is a diploma level piano student.

Sharan Bassi

Sharan joined the practice in September 2010 as an experienced ATT Tax Senior, and quickly showed she had a flair for tax, shortly thereafter studying towards the prestigious CTA qualification which she achieved in 2014. Sharan has continued to show an interest in widening her knowledge base, working from her strong technical roots across all business taxes to more specialist areas too, particularly in R&D. Sharan's current responsibilities include overseeing the preparation of corporation tax computations and returns, managing the compliance work, providing advisory services for various groups and individual companies. Sharan works closely with some of our largest corporate clients. Sharan lives in West London, where she enjoys going for long walks, cooking, in particular baking and has won the firm's bake off competition. She loves to escape to hot destinations to explore local cultures and also enjoys sitting by the pool with a good book.

Sharon Kilbane

Sharon joined the firm in November 2014. She is a director in the audit and accounts team and has over twenty five years' experience of acting for a range of clients. Her current responsibilities include audits, preparation of accounts and ad-hoc assignments such as business plans and cash flow forecasting for groups, companies and limited liability partnerships. Amongst Sharon's portfolio are clients in the property investment, property development, manufacturing and retailing sectors. Sharon also provides technical support to other members of the firm and has experience of acting for charities and academies. Sharon was a Trustee and Treasurer of a hospice from 2004 until 2012.

Stephen Runnacles

  • Senior Company Secretarial Manager
Stephen is a Chartered Secretary and Chartered Governance Professional. He qualified after joining the firm in 1996, and is a member of the Chartered Governance Institute, and of the Institute of Directors. Stephen oversees the firm's company secretarial function and is involved in all aspects of company secretarial compliance and administration, as well as administration more generally for other types of client such as estates. Stephen's company secretarial skills have been honed on a full range of company types and transactions. He also has a keen interest in and has worked on many of the firm's charity clients and has broad experience encompassing their set up, everyday compliance and administration, financial reporting and advising on matters of corporate governance and general policy. Educated at Ipswich School and The University of Edinburgh, when not in the office Stephen is probably to be found in an art gallery or exhibition; behind an easel, brush in hand, listening to jazz; or on the Suffolk coast.

Stuart Hambling

Stuart joined the practice in August 2022 having spent the previous 4 years as a director with a central London law firm, providing advice to international high-net-worth-individuals, families, trustees and corporate service providers. Prior to this Stuart trained with a big 4 firm and medium sized practices where he qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser. In addition, Stuart spent 10 years with an independent privately-owned wealth management business, including 4 years as part of an international Bermudan based private banking group.

Stuart Woolmer

Stuart joined the practice in January 2014 as a trainee accountant before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in December 2016. He is now a Senior Manager in our Audit and Accounts Team. His current responsibilities include overseeing the outsourced finance functions for clients including bookkeeping and the preparation of VAT returns, management accounts and forecasts, undertaking statutory audits and accounts preparations, and providing ad-hoc advisory services for groups and companies. He also has experience in undertaking financial due diligence on acquisitions, grant audits and internal process reviews. Stuart particularly enjoys the client facing nature of the role and looking after a mix of clients ranging from international groups to owner managed businesses, across a broad spectrum of industries. He is also involved in supporting our team of trainees and undertaking reviews, sharing his experiences and helping them develop. Outside of work Stuart is a keen sportsman, who usually spends his weekend running, cycling or playing football. When he is not playing sport Stuart is often watching it and has a season ticket at Crystal Palace.

Victor Clarendon

Victor joined the firm in October 2011 having worked for a number of professional firms for over 25 years, latterly with PwC where he was a tax director in the London office. Born, raised and (to an extent) educated in Northern Ireland, he specialises in business tax strategy with a particular emphasis on real estate investors and developers having advised many public and private companies and funds in this field throughout his career. Victor lives in Surrey with his wife Carol and two daughters. His passion for taxation is exceeded only by his love of shooting and fishing
