Ashley Singer is a solicitor dealing with Civil Litigation, Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury. He has been a qualified solicitor since 1996 and is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. Throughout his career which has been spent mainly in the North West, he has specialised in clinical negligence and personal injury claims and today specialises in clinical negligence claims, high value complex personal injury claims, defending personal injury claims on behalf of businesses and representing families at Inquests in relation to unexplained deaths at hospitals which can often lead to clinical negligence claims. Ashley has dealt with Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury cases worth up to £3 million in claims as wide ranging as missed diagnosis or delay in diagnosis cases leading to untimely deaths, sepsis cases, life-threatening injuries due to motorcycle accidents, incapacity to work again due to accidents at work, traumatic scarring in animal attack cases and multiple orthopaedic and psychological injuries due to catastrophic accidents resulting in limb amputations. Ashley also provides expert representation and tactical advice to individuals or businesses defending personal injury claims, from the first letter from the injured person's solicitors through to trial at Court. He has experience of defending claims on behalf of the retail, food and care home sectors as well as on behalf of landlords and schools. Ashley also has experience in assisting businesses to defend Health and Safety Executive prosecutions, especially now that the sentencing guidelines for the same have increased the fines paid and the likelihood of facing a custodial sentence. Ashley helps his clients to expedite their cases to a successful conclusion and provides clear and practical advice.

Chris Bowen

Chris qualified as a Solicitor in 1982 after training in Manchester. He began his qualified career in Buxton before moving to practice for many years in Macclesfield and surrounding areas with a brief interlude in West Yorkshire. Chris specialises in Family Law - the legal aspects of family and relationship breakdown. This covers divorce, matrimonial finance, disputes between cohabitees, disputes about arrangements for children, and extends to pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements etc. Chris has substantial experience in this field. He is a member of the Resolution whose code of practice insists upon a conciliatory approach to resolving issues on the breakdown of a relationship. He is also trained as a Collaborative Family Lawyer and is a keen supporter of this process. Chris is married with three grown up children and three grandchildren, and when not working, he is a keen walker.

Sharon Newton

Sharon has been with Harold Stock & Co for just over 13 years. She joined the company in the role of a part time accounts assistant, as she was also mum to two young girls, it was a local office and much easier to park! Prior to joining us, Sharon worked in Stockport centre for 12 years. Sharon has worked in accounts since 1989, training up to AAT Technician level. Outside of work, she enjoys walking in the many hills of Mossley and surrounding areas, reading, cooking and attending night school courses.

Tracey joined Harold Stock & Co in 2014 after being made redundant from her previous position of 23 years. Tracey initially began as an office junior after leaving college, quickly working her way up to a Partner's secretary/PA. Tracey has worked in various departments over the years, in particular enjoying Wills & Probate, family and mediation.
