Glen Hardwick has worked in the ports industry for more than 30 years, starting as a cargo operative and subsequently worked his way through supervision and management grades to the present position of Head of Operations at London Container terminal , Tilbury docks. In this role he has primary responsibility for the efficient running of the terminal , including Health and Safety, Planning functions , staff/ customer / contractor relations , finance, training and recruitment. He works closely with the Port Of Tilbury training Academy and enjoys the process of giving people from all backgrounds the opportunity to start or progress careers within the port environment or other industries. He is a member of the Chartered institute of logistics and transport since 2010 and believes in Traditional values, common sense decision making , practical advice and positivity. He is married with two early teenage Children.
