Defending something means that we are trying to justify it. There's no reason to justify a righteous action because it's a good thing. When we misstep, our instinct is not to justify but, rather, to apologize and try to right the wrong. A malicious action can't be justified. If we are acting with malice, we are doing something wrong on purpose. There is no justification for that. Even if someone has wronged us, it doesn't make it okay to wrong them. Two wrongs don't make a right… right? Wrong? Oops… I'm getting confused…...
If we live our lives in a righteous way… if we live with integrity… there is never a need to justify...
